Dude, don't be ignorant.. I'm telling you the story exactly as it happend... I am even sitting in the very room now it happened in (yep I took over my childhood house, as it is in a stunning area)...

Sad thing is this was even before the time of cheap electronics... electric blankets were still pretty new over here... (80's)

Well I learned something new!! I had no idea they could cause a fire. Wow, that is all I can say, wow. I am glad you are okay.

Damn what a piece of shit, I have one from god knows when. It was my grandmas and then my parents and now I have it. Thing has to be atleast the 70's. And it still works perfect. Only use it when I sprain or pull something though.

I'd still keep it just make sure nobody don't sleep with it. Unless thats all its used for.

It is recommended to replace them at 10 year intervals by a number of fire departments now.
