Please send this story to Consumer Report with pics. I know that elect. Blankets should be handles carefully, but fire? BS. Try to get somebody to answer some questions & get back to us.
Well I learned something new!! I had no idea they could cause a fire. Wow, that is all I can say, wow. I am glad you are okay.electric blanket.... and no I didn't pee on it.. the malfuntion was down by my feet....
I'd still keep it just make sure nobody don't sleep with it. Unless thats all its used for.I am removing mine from my home after reading ANC's story. This is a risk I am not willing to take. Did anyone else read the link he provided? Scary stuff, mine will be out of this house today.
Damn what a piece of shit, I have one from god knows when. It was my grandmas and then my parents and now I have it. Thing has to be atleast the 70's. And it still works perfect. Only use it when I sprain or pull something though.
I dont sleep with it so it doesnt really matter, I only use it while im awake on the couch or something. It is recommended to replace them at 10 year intervals by a number of fire departments now.
