btw, bakin.beans, it sounds like you have a great chance to get everything thrown out in court. but, it may save time and money to just pay the fine and do some community service. the courts are usually pretty tolerable to first time offenses. good chance if you found guilty it could be expunged. if you really need help contact norml.

that fuckin sucks man... well im from a commonwealth state (which basically means our laws are more strict) so i dont know about ohio, but im very good with laws...

First off... check your lease and see if your landlord has the right to enter your apartment uninvited... ALOT of leases allow this, but snooping and taking pics is another matter... especially if she didnt have probable cause (or in this case, a damn good reason) to enter your home

2nd... it isnt illegal to have a security cam in your home...Now there is a similar law...
For example... you've heard of entrapment? its kinda like that, if i said, "hey bakin beans, come over i gotta talk to you" and we have a convo and i record it without letting you know, thats illegal in some states (i know you all see it in the movies all the time, but that doesnt fly in the real world). But as for security, you can have a cam wherever you damn please....

3rd... the cops have to have a fuckin warrant... Theres no if's, and's or but's about it... By the way the story sounds, Your landlord took pictures of your grow, and reported you... if that was the case, they would have gotten a warrant first hand...

I don't know of a single state that allows this type of language in any lease. In other words, if it's in the lease, it's illegal, thus rendering the lease an illegal contract. The issue is that as a tenant, as a person who pays rent, you are essentially the owner of a given residence and as such you have certain rights. One of them is to be free of people letting themselves into your home uninvited. If you can find an instance of a state allowing this type of behavior via lease language, lay it on us.

Well like i said... im from a "commonwealth state" (google it ) and the laws are much stricter... right now im in the south, and for example, maitence is ALWAYS coming over to spray something or check something. And if im not home when the pest guy comes over, he'll come in anyway, and leave a little green paper saying...
