Not trying to give you shit or make you feel dumb... you know better. I've been fucked with the cops plenty in my life, and have done my share of stupid shit too... I don't know but I think the best thing that you could've done would be for all of you to get out of the car, and start walking towards the school once you saw the cop coming... Leaving the blunts in the car of course...

Either way... the cop may have issued you a bullshit ticket... I've been given bullshit citations before, they have a suggested court date, and then you find out the cop just never turned them in. Some cops can be giant assholes sometimes.

I hope so too... tickets are a pain in the ass, and can be very costly... I've probably spent $2k on tickets over the past 4 years... Pretty damned annoying because I could've put another grow op up with that money.

but u should be okay, just a fine but those seminars are gojng 2 suck dick, i went 2 one back in highskool and 4 the first one halfway thru i got up and said done and walked out (copied fam guy got big laughs and some followers)
the second time i just said "OMG are u fucking serious this iz sum bullshit" when they got 2 the weed section the woman got pissed and asked "would u like 2 teach the class?" i think that day i turned sum methheads into pot heads, but i had 2 got 2 2 extra classes and became $500 dollars lighter :neutral:

the key here i think is when you say "after admitting to him we had 2 blunts..." right there. you admitted guilt. granted he probably would have searched the car anyway but if you hadn't said you had it you'd have a much better chance of it being thrown out for illegal search. you let the cop intimidate you into admitting guilt. once you do that you don't have many options left. Massachusetts just passed a law that says possession of less than 1 oz is now a civil offense. no fear of arrest and the maximum the ticket can be for is $100. You guys have medical MJ up there in Maine don't you? why don't you get a card?

Yep, by admitting you had them, you threw away your constitutional rights. Never admit shit to a cop, not even if they catch you doing it. Don't let them try to pull that "if you just help me out there I'll make sure they go easy on you" shit either. A cop's job is to simply generate revenue by busting your ass, not help you out in any way.

First off, you shouldn't have been rolling blunts in public. Second of all, you shouldn't have said shit, and lawyered the fuck up. So what if he has a dog with him? Make the prick use the fucker, at least then you're wasting his time. Sure, he had probable cause, but you fucked yourself by admitting to a cop that you broke the law. How do you KNOW he saw you rolling blunts? Did you see the dog yourself? You walked right into that pig's trap and did his job for him.

johnny im pretty sure i was fucked either way, he said he had the right to search since he saw me rolling 2 blunts and had a DOG.


And how would I get a card, wouldn't I have to have a medical illness?

Maybe he had you, maybe he didn't. But you waived your 4th, 5th, amendment rights and by proxy your 6th, 7th, and 8th amendment rights. Like I said, you did his job for him. The job of law enforcement is not to protect and serve the public, it is to generate revenue for municipalities by any means necessary.

Someone posted a link to a video on this site that is exactly what you are asking, just search around for it. But in short, if a cop comes to your car door, do not open the door, just open the window a LITTLE to talk. If he asks you to get out of the car, get out, but LOCK AND CLOSE THE DOOR. He can not go into your car without your permission or warrant. Same thing goes for your house, if they show up there. Greet the officer OUTSIDE, and close your door.
By a school? Are you crazy?????? I heard of a guy who bought/sold a joint within a school zone, and was totally screwed bigtime. If he was a few yards further away, the cop would have most likely let him go.

I'm curious how it was he saw you rolling the blunts. Were you in a Gremlin, or rolling up on the dash? Or was he above you somehow? I still think there should be a citation number or something, but I am no lawyer.

I think, though, that if it was really bad, you'd have been cooling your heels in a concrete room.

I don't get some of you guys.. I got popped sitting in schoolyard, warehouse parking, behind store..... Why do people insist on parking in the stupidest places to smoke.. school..(thieves, molesters, vandals.).. warehouse ( thieves..etc)... store (same shit).. It'd be smarter to park in the cops parking lot than those places... we'd park as far away from any risk as we could.. people now park in the stupidest places... think before smoking ... not after.. Hope it works out..

I wasn't really thinking where to smoke, i've smoked there plenty of times and with it being 32 degrees out I didn't really give a fuck since I huff through blunts.

He was parked to our right like 150 yards and he was just STARING at me while I picked the blunt up and licked it.

he approached the door and said "Well I just saw you rolling a dube and I have the dog with me"

If you were within Eyesight of a cop, pulled over rolling a blunt at school.... You need to get busted. Not tryin to be a dick but that's tough love. Bet it won't happen again will it? Chalk it up as a life lesson.
