u can top the plant on its 4th or 5th node in veg. U can also fim top it where u leave like 10 percent of the main shoot and u might get 3 or 4 heads from one topping. u can also tie the top down to encourage the lower branches to grow out.

Im using 2 6500k 75 w CFLs and 1 75 w 2800K and having really good bushy results..
I have never even topped this plant, I keep a fan on blowing up at the bulbs, and keep my plant about a fingertip away from the bulbs..

Here is a nice shot of the lower branches.. They have since grown in much longer:hump:

The plant is about 1 month old, and about 3.5 or so inches tall..
It was in high pH soil for the first few days it poped up, which Im sure stunted its growth abit..
However now its really starting to "size up" thankfully..

Still bulb distance is quite important to stop it from stretching, and the less stretching it does then the sooner other nodes will be able to branch themselves..

I have noticed the smaller lower nodes that are branching on mine, are also starting to show early signs of new growth already!

no prob, I wouldnt expect quit the results as this, as I said Im pretty sure this was stunted, and is just now starting to "size up" only abit though..

Its only still 3-4 inches tall..
By size up, I mean the leaves are getting alot bigger then they were at first..

Im hoping it turns out ok, as Im planning on making this a mother..
So the more branches, the more possible clones! :)

Best of luck 2 your grow m8!
