Burping my buds

It has been a week of drying and curing 3 and a half days to dry and now 4 days of curing my buds, they have been burped for 4 hrs for 3 days and none the 4th day but I have them burping now as I post. It seems the process is going to be a slow one I am debating to let them dry a little more because the smell is a damp musty smell and the buds when I squeeze a little they fall back in place so I do not believe they are to damp but I need advice on what I should do? My strain is Early Misty and I should have more of a skunky smell right? I have looked at my buds with a magnifier and they are covered with trichomes that are a milky color and the hairs are a autum brownish orange color so I think harvest and peak where at the right time. I would love some guidance in this process because I know from reading, Curing is the most important part of your harvest. Maybe I am being impatient lol.

I'm not as experienced as most, but I had this problem with my sample bud that I cured. The problem could've been you may have harvested to early!! When I harvested the plant the second time about a week and a half later, way better smell and not as long to cure either!

3.5 days to dry doesn't sound like enough time.
Depends on many variables of course (bud size, temp, humidity, ventilation etc.).

You have not harvested too early if you have milky trichomes (just to eliminate any doubt FarmerKT might've given you).

I think your problem is that you haven't dried them well enough.
Do you own a hygrometer?
If yes, please let me know what your humidity levels are.

Damp musty bud leads to mildew and mold if you try to cure it.
You have to make sure your bud is properly dried before you cure it (as it will gain moisture during the cure).
And if it has too much moisture when you cure it, it becomes a haven for mold.

KOijn is totally correct with all the things in place like temps,humidity,and ventilation it's at least 1 week and that's a combination of hang and bag and cure it's gonna be 2-3 weeks.now your probably going to go back to maybe bag or put it on a screen and get a fan on it to try to dry it some more or if it is moldy water cure it at least you can medicate or the other option make hash.IMHO
