burning issue?

The pictures below pretty much explain everything, the ceiling to my grow is 1inch above the light, and the light is also 2inch away from the sides. The light is a 125w CFL.

I've had it on an hour and is hot to touch, but bearable.

Any thoughts, comments or previous experience please :) thanks

I also realise that using a laundry basket for a grow box isn't the best, and that I accidently ordered a giant CFL :(

its like you took the easiest thing to burn you could find and made a hood lmao
are you putting it in a box or under a sink or something? probably way better off finding or rigging a clamp for it and just putting reflectives on the cieling of the op above the light.

I would change that to a plastic tub or something, but I'm paranoid. Every time I left the house I would be thinking it's going to burn down.

So you have used a plastic tub for growing ? I'm just curious because I got sprouts staying in this plastic tub that Has Just a small cfl tube and a normal household cfl light . It has air going in and out but no fan ATM . Did you ever experience burning of some sort ? I plan on leaving for a day and a half and I need the lights on . I'd appreciate any info :p
