Bummed - 1st grow 2nd male

I'm not sure how to feel right now. Just discovered my second male in my first grow. It's another freebie seed from Sannies. I posted a pic of the bag the seeds came in - I'm not sure what these symbols mean, but my guess was 'regular seeds'. Does anyone know? The female seeds I purchased have a different symbol.

Anyway, it's not that big of a deal when I look at the big picture. It just sucks that I wasted time and money on this bastard

The circle with the little cross hanging off the bottom is female.
The circle with the arrow is male.
I don't know anything about sannies however by that description I would take it as it could go either way. Buy feminized seeds. Like myself a lot of the people on here don't even Germ the freebies, if we do it's because we had nothing better to do at that point in time. Don't feel bad at least you tried, in the future when you have one of them males in the mix of a bunch of ladies you will know what it looks like and you can castrate that fucker quickly, it happens. Take a few bong rips, do a dab, eat an edible and move on with things. In a month or so do a grow journal on some kick as female your all jazzed about and this will be a distant memory.

I know a bunch of guys & gals on here have time to breed plants, experiment & cull males etc - heck many grow 12 months out of the year.
I don't, so I always germ fem'd seeds & don't fuck around, electricity & shit cost money (not to mention my time and effort) at the end of the day I don't have time for all that.

Im not sure how true it is but some swear that there is ways to increase your chances of getting females and decrease the chance of getting males by using certain methods, and by providing the plant with an ideal environment. I have yet to see credible research on this. Good Luck

Birth-control, sounds silly, but some old-schoolers use that stuff.

buy femed seeds, grow indoors plan on three harvests per year in 5 gal pots. sure worth ur time

I used it this time around as people say to use it but Im not sure if it worked, biggest buds Ive ever had but I also changed my soil, lights and nutrients so cant really say if it played a direct part. Hopefully my girl doesn't get pregnant haha.
