Hi I just got an oil rig and new to dabbing and noticed there's already lots of oil running down the side. I use to scrape the shit out of my old pipes and bongs for resin, figured it might be worth scraping the hash oil. I scraped a little bit already and put it on the hot nail and it snap crackle popped like crazy, so I was scared to hit it lol..
should I waste time trying to scrape or just clean it out like it isIMAG0150.jpg

sounds like tane residual or moisture, id hold off on smoking that. do you make your hash oil? it might not be purged correctly. and claim is good for edibles, most people try not to smoke it though.

The reason it's crackling and popping when you scrape it outta your piece is because it has water moisture in it. You can smoke it once it dries out if you like. It's great for edibles. Usually people clean their rigs with 91% ISO alcohol, and then if you wanna use the resin(it's called reclaim in oil rigs), you have to evap the alcohol off like you would if you were going to make ISO hash.

dam thats awsome. well i bought a vacuum and chamber cause i thought it would be easier to make bho that way.
the iso way looks more intimidating. Ill definitely give it a shot though. thnx guys!

make sure its the right type of vac, it needs to be a good cfm and micron rating. i dont own a pump myself but know a few people who do, this makes all the difference from what ive heard, im sure theres plenty of threads that go into it further.

i probably have a crappy vac. Its a 3 cfm single stage pump. came with a 3 gal chamber. got it on ebay for around 230$. When the chamber is at full vac, the meter reads just a little past -22

damn most people get 5 cfm two stage pumps from what ive heard(should only cost $200 from most vendors), hopefully you got a good chamber though. it should go to -30 if im not mistaken, i think i used to have a $50 hand pump that reached -28.

well dude, go ahead, and have fun getting a collapsed lung from all the excess butane and whatever medical problems arise from having moisture trapped in your lungs.

but dont suggest other people should follow your path, thats being consciously harmful, or whats more commonly known as an asshole.

you should make hash oil with zippo butane, whip it, dont purge it whatsoever, then just pour some water in it. youd smoke it, like it, and youd need a lung transplant(which i hope they wouldnt give you because some people actually need it and wouldnt consciously destroy it). but hey, if thats just fine to you, go ahead.

Are you really that simple bro that's in the oil rig do you understand me that's a nail oil rig at room temperature butane evaporites you follow me run fucking temperature okay now think about this you heat the nail up you get it real hot you put the oil on it goes down in the thing and you breathe it if butane evaporator fucking room temperature okay if you don't say I go to empty my lighter out and you know I watch it all turns to vapor and and for that matter your not applying a fucking lighter when you drop the oil on the nail...
