Building a new veg room

I'm building a new veg room and I'm looking for some ideas on lighting in particular. I currently have a bunch of 400 watt MH fixtures looking for a purpose, and while tempting to use 2 or 3 of them, I don't really want to pay that power bill.

Any good, cheapish, LEDs or even fluoro, I guess, tubes on the market these days?

Room will be 4x8x7.5, wrapped in panda plastic, and used strictly for veg, mostly 10 gallon pots.

fun

leds ill work fine for u it is a matter of the lens degrees that are going to effect the cost
120.....large foot print with about 22-26 inches of usable light
90.......smaller print but gives u good depth of usable light 30-32 inches
60..... smallest like a cone flashlight .......greatest depth of usable 36-40 inches

a 300 watt led would do good in a 2x2 area with 90degree lens.......to do your whole area max par looking at 8 lights
actually power drawl is about 170w ......and will save money on AC power cost not MH bulb building heating

as for brand cheap and know is effective in growing plants Apollo

i know it said 3x3 it will work but the buds are fluffy from lack of power core is a 2x2 ..........i used these lights for years grow flower and as side wall lights ......good investment will make money back by 2nd grow

if u want to go more exp i would say platinum led ........they offer a 90day return so if u go big (i did replaced a 1000w )

They sell x6 cob led on amazon for about 150 bucks that actually do a really good job and draws about 300 w from the wall each. I have one and use it with two other led light in my flower tent right now and the plants under the x6 are doing great
This I like. I'll grab 2 and see how they perform.

I have a few of the "1200 watt" blurples, the one currently in my veg room seems to be burning my plants.

I was seriously considering some daylight spectrum 4 foot flouro tubes just because I know they work and they don't cost a whole lot, but I do want something a bit stronger than that.

I currently veg under CMH, adding a LED to the mix so I will be able to compare how they do.
