Building a new closet box because my last one sucked

So I decided to take another whack at making a grow box. I tried to prepare myself for all of the different factors that go into a closet grow the first time, but I just didn't really understand until I started my grow. So i decided to drop more cash and build a better system. I'm getting a 6 tube T5 light for vegging to cut down on power, and Im using my 400w HPS for flowering.

So I drew up the designs for my box and went to home depot to get some wood. I needed 5 pieces of 4x8 wood and the store to cut the pieces, so I got them cut and was checking out and the check out girl only charged me for one piece of wood! I thought it was a great sign for the start of this upgrade. I'm also gonna switch to DWC buckets(I like the control).











So I've built this today. Im going to grow a G-13 haze next. So yeah I got one rolled so later.

I'm curious as to why you built a cabinet instead of converting the whole closet . That would have givin you more room to flower .
An oscilliating fan will help air movement .
Good looking box tho . I'm not bagging on you .

Its cool, I built the box so that I can have a sealed environment for the smell of flowering partnered with a carbon filter, and to keep my cats out(they dug up one of my plants awhile ago)
I'm also going to have two small oscillating fans inside.

Reminds me of a site called Lumenlab. where we built projectors out of wood sheets, lcd monitors and overhead projectors. It was pretty ridiculous. thats a nice box though. Maybe put some weather stripping on the front entrance and seal that light out.

Thanks alot, I know what you mean, I made a projector out of a monitor and a large magnifying glass. I used it to play videogames back in the day. I'm not done with the box yet, I'm gonna end up getting a draft blocker for the intake, a c02 setup and a lockable hatch.

I put in a small tower style oscillating fan for in the grow box. I'm going back and getting another one for the other side of the box.
