Building a Cheep Hydro setup. need help

well I was looking at a thing that entropicand I was wondering if I read right that groing in DWC the roots are aloud to be in the water, am I correct?

WWW would you recommend a cheppy DWC using a rubbermade contanor, air pump and air rocks and could I start clones in it to?

Yes the roots grow into the water.

For a dwc you will need:
A rubbermaid container with air stones, air pump(s), hydroton or something similar, net pots, airline tubing, some way to measure pH and PPM, rockwool, and some good lighting.

Yes you could start clones in it.

Yes, I would recommend a cheap DWC cloner using a rubbermaid container with an air pump to start clones. Sorry, I don't know what air rocks are?... Are you referring to hydroton? If so, yes or you could use the neoprene inserts. Or you could even try this set-up... GROWFAQ

It's not essential but it really helps, plus you'll need other nutrients. The big cost is the PPM (parts per million) meter to test the concentration of the nutrient solution. You can get away without one but it greatly diminishes the chance of success.
