I don't think it worked out like he wanted. Just posting an idea without making sure it will work.

Sorry people, been really busy and have not had the time to check in. Been hit by a lots of bills and the kids keeping me busy.
Also been having some problems with my plants 3 weeks or so away from harvest (getting purplish on edge of leaves, a flush and deficiency correction are in need)
Budget has also been an issue having to buy activated carbon filters (not cheap they are BUT i had no choice since the all neighborhood is stink up like ganja, dont want any unwelcomed guest showing up :) and a bunch of other junk, looks like i wont be able to get in a perpetual rotation this time around, clones adding up to the current bill, so am gonna let this one ride till i harvest. I will then simply cover the entire room with a reflective panda or something else not sure yet, and partition with pvc/panda panels at a later time, i have my mind set on a fifty plant grow this time around. Good thing is i still have a bunch of pvc sticks and fittings so i will build a mock up right after harvest (that way i dont have to buy extra crap just to show ya how to build it)and when the room is redesigned (all the stuff will be laying around and it wont affect the plant growth since there wont be no plants LoL. But on a good note that purple kush am growing is wonderfully stinky and sticky, wont yield as much as other strains but the quality is 100% worth the time vested.

I bought a SunHut 4.5'x4.5'x7' on Craigslist. Brand new in the box for $70. Just took a phone call, a five minute drive and 70 bucks and now it's in my garage. I don't have the time or patience to build something equal to what I bought.

You guys on here going back and forth about a few dollars lol Don't you guys have some plants that need tending too. All y'all are FOS and most of you can't even build a sandcastle. This dudes set up is perfect for anyone that's in a crunch
I say tents are good for mothers, babies and getting the next batch ready in veg
If your doing or trying to do more the that you are wasting your time
That's my problem I keep running out of space

I'm in the middle of building one myself and I'm using the is it 1/2-in artec like insulation foam like that you would use in your attic before the 4x8 sheets and then you know cuz it's already got the silver backing and everything and then the problem I'm running into right now is the the ventilation I have a light that's way too gnarly I think it's the size of the tent it's 4x4 also that's big so I don't know what to do with that because that's a lot and I could probably turn it down quite a bit cuz I did one basic heat test and just recently after installing all the stuff and getting the lights in and the tent's not even perfectly sealed yet and I'm at and it went up to 119° that's not cool and and then I got you know an exhaust fan like in your bathroom you know the ones that vent in your bathroom but those are only like 50 CFM or something like that and that's not nearly enough tried to run two of them that's only 100 still you need I think at least I don't know you need some decent CFM to pull air out and I believe in the negative pressure thing my tent's not even sealed all the way yet there's big holes in it and it still was at 119 so holy shit I don't know what I'm going to do there but anyway here's some pictures.. not the greatest pics and everything like I said this is all still in the works but this is all my you know homemade shit is is you know wood frame you know bullshit tape and bullshit ducks and everything else I think it's going to work excellent my other tent works great it's smaller though this one is a bear cuz I don't think the lights would be that bad but they are bad joe if I can create negative pressure and get more air coming out when it's coming in Dad is awesome but it takes a big fan for that I think for this thing like I said it's 4x4x6 and 1/2 we'll see how it goesPXL_20240201_140503267.jpgPXL_20240201_140618907.jpgPXL_20240201_140503267.jpgPXL_20240201_140618907.jpgPXL_20240201_140623100.jpgPXL_20240201_140503267.jpgPXL_20240201_140618907.jpgPXL_20240201_140623100.jpgPXL_20240201_140618907.jpgPXL_20240201_140702014.jpgPXL_20240201_140634188.jpgPXL_20240201_140708149.jpgPXL_20240201_140719569.jpgPXL_20240201_140732143.jpgPXL_20240201_140740637.jpg

1. Sticking a thermometer in direct light will not tell you the air temperature, it will tell you the temp of the plastic thermometer, which is greatly affected by radiant heat (though led has less than hps)
Google how to measure air temperature.

2. The little fan taped on as intake is actually more restrictive than an open hole and won't serve any purpose.

3. You need a proper extractor designed to handle lengths of duct , an axial fan is not, look for a second hand extractor on ebay if you're skint.

4. Your air temp is directly related to your ambient air and the watts you are using and the number of air exchanges in that space. If your absent air is 78f then you need a lot more air exchange to keep it at 80f.

5. If temps are high in your country/state you definitely need to get that hot air out of the house, if it's cold then Recirculating in the room might work but comes with other problems, like high humidity, mould ect

You prolly won’t need that light at full power, maybe 50 percent at most. That will bring down temp.
