build or buy

I have built rooms and I have had lots of different size tents.. honestly it kind of depends on a few things, what sort of space do you have to work with? are you renting and having inspections where you will have to dismantle?
How much do you want to grow/how many light to run? Me I like to grow a good dozen plants at a time and while I have done it in tents I prefer to frame up a room within a room (or trailer home) and make it suit what I want, plus I like having room to walk around my plants.

This is a recent mobile room I slapped together.. fairly basic, but doing the job well enough.

Maylar is a few procent more reflective than white

There ia a few sizes that are optimal for a specific number of plants.no idea how much you wanted

Thanks for that ill have a look as if I'm going to build it myself I wasn't sure which would be better, as I'm writing this I just found another post here regarding the different types, so looks like I'm up for a bit of a read.

Nice job on your room ! Is that a trailer that you decked out ? We own so we don't have to worry about inspections or anything like that. I have a shed to fit everything in, that's why I was thinking of doing the build myself.

Usually the cost is higher than purchasing out right. Plus if you have not done this before you may not consider something that might be needed.
The normal thought pattern is base a design on what you have worked with. How would you make this better?
One think to consider is if you have a dead spot no air flow mold will probably start there.
So that is my two cents.

If you have the space then I would definitely look at building one myself.. you can add panels for electrical equip mounting, and you can insulate as well which gives you much better control over room temps than a tent.. plus if you want to go down the path of sealed rooms as I did and incorporate split system aircon and co2 down the track then diy is the only way to go.

And yes Mylar is more reflective but it make next to no difference at all when your belting out the kind of lumens LEDs slam down.. and I like white, gives the room a clean surgical type of feel.

My other room I built in full swing.. just to show it wasn’t my first rodeo.. IMG_5432.jpeg
that’s two lights (mars fc6500) two fans over the canopy and one blowing below plus ac unit..lots of airflow=good. Also humidifier and dehumidifier, climate controller, co2 generator..recirculating system with expanded clay media.. and a backup tank that tops up via float valves so I can leave for up to 10 days at a time should the need arise. Holidays/family ect..

Did you say this is for your shed which is 2.2m high?
Because most tents are 2m , with 20cm clearance it could be a twat to erect in that she'd, depending on what your other dimensions are.
