Bugs!!!!

We just found a shit load of bugs in our nutrient water!!! what are they?

How are we supposed to know? You saw them, we didn't.

All those black things are bugs

In the water and on the roots. Not on the plants yet

It sounds and looks like fungus gnats. You can use AzaMax from General Hydroponics and add it directly to your reservoir. It is safe for the plants and will actually be absorbed and act like a future repellent. Just follow the instructions closely.

I am not sure what those are but you can use AzaMax by GH. You can put it into your res and it will kill the bugs without harming your plants. That stuff will kill them and the eggs. You will need to be patient cause it will take a week or two. If you want to kill them quickly I would run some H202 through your system. That stuff is strong and it will just clean your system. If I where you I would run the H202 first with PH'd water for a day. Then give them regular nutes with the AzaMax mixed in. Hope that helps.

I'm guessing an earlier problem with root rot. That would attract them like ants to a picnic.

What is the reservoir water temp at? air stone in use?

Thanks everyone my friend is heading to the hydro store right now to pick up some Azamax. This is our first time using aeroponics so we dont really know what to expect but this really sucks

It's no biggie. It could have been a lot worse. Did you experience any root rot on this grow or are all the roots healthy and white?

they are pretty dark but i thought that was from the nutrients. What is root rot caused by?
