Bugs!!!!!

just curious im living in the northen part of the united states and am growing out doors...... and would like to know of any type of good insect or pest repellent...... im using a soap and water type thing but doesnt seem like its working... any help that anyone can give will be greatly appricated. its some kills and dont want to let it go to waste thanks alot again.

what kinda bugs?

uhhh well around the plant there are ants spiders little tiny mites..... the plant has spots where there are little tiny holes in the leaves. And i just dont want it to be come overwhelmed with bugs you know what i mean? I would imigine moths but not to sure, and it is like 100 feet away from woods.
