Spider Mite Tetranychus urticae "Two-Spotted" or "Red Spider Mite"
The two-spotted spider mite or red spider mite is a major pest in vegetables, tropicals, and other ornamentals. It's tiny size makes it difficult to see. They prefer to feed from the bottom side of leaves located in the tops of plants where it is warm and dry, although as they travel along the plant, feeding marks can be found along the main vein of leaves near the petiole. As populations increase, plant damage spreads across the leaves.
Spider mites feed on plant cells and produce characteristic small, yellowish, speckled feeding marks. The feeding marks are usually the first sign of a mite infestation and are often confused with some fertilizer deficiencies. Fine, silken webs can be detected on heavily infested leaves and flowers with these plant parts quickly withering and turning brown.
Many insecticides have little or no affect in controlling spider mites. Their small size, their ability to exist close to the veins of the plants and because they are a different species of pest than other insects, controlling by spraying is extremely difficult.
Spider mites are sensitive to day length and are capable of diapausing (hibernating) within cracks and crevices of your structure. If you had spider mites last year, chances are excellent they will continue to be a problem this year.
Spider mite populations can explode under conditions of high temperature (above 85° F.) and low relative humidity (below 60% RH).

check this link http://www.hydro-gardens.com/spidermite.htm Hot, dry conditions are often associated with population build-up of spider mites. Under optimal conditions (approximately 80 °F or 27 °C), the two-spotted spider mite can hatch in as little as 3 days, and become sexually mature in as little as 5 days. One female can lay up to 20 eggs per day and can live for 2 to 4 weeks, laying hundreds of eggs. A single mature female can spawn a population of a million mites in a month or less. This accelerated reproductive rate allows spider mite populations to adapt quickly to

This is helpful. not sure why it didn't quote on the last post. Thanks

if its spider mites I would buy some sns-217 mite spray. The sns is (sierra natural science) Its at indoor garden stores. you gotta spray the underside of the leaves and it kills them and their eggs and also prevents them from coming back as long as you do a 1x a week treatment.

SNS-217 is good. Not sure how it dose on clones but other plants will be fine. And I'm going to say it agin. Mighty wash. I had them bad my 2nd to last grow first week of flower. Used it and wached under my 100x scope. Yellow eggs melted and mites stoped moving. Next day mites looked like they exploded. Didn't do anything to the white eggs (newly laid) I ran out of the quart I had so went and got a gallon and a misting spryer. 3 days after first application I spryed agine. This time spryings everything. Clones plants walls floor hydroton fans lights( turned off ) just drenched everything. Sence I have a large room and plants where 2 foot tall I had 1/3 of it left. 3 days later sprayed the plants and a mist over everything I could. Watched for a week no more mites. Buds started to pop and I was happy. So now all I do is when I swap out
Y rooms I give a once over to kill any bugs ( yes it works on alot more then mites ). And hit my plants every 2 weeks bottom side up and top side down. Did it last night lol. And not a mite in site. For 10 bucks a week I get peace of mind and not pests. And it's not smelly or poisonis. It's safe to breath and get your self wet and not worry. This is all imo. Good luck killing them.

Go ahead and spray tonight but then give it 3 days and repeat. And maybe 3 days after that. Doc doom should always be your last resort.

keep spraying every three days. I would keep it up for a couple weeks. and always keep an eye out they could come back. I think azatrol would effect their molting process. it might not kill them rite away. keep in mind each mite lays 20 eggs a day. in three days those 20 eggs will hatch and start over. all the eggs will most likely hatch again even after you spray.

There are a bunch of lifelss bugs some look a little melted :) when the mites were alive if I squished them i tiny bit of puss would come out now there just dried out. same with the eggs that I found so far. I am guessing I won the battle but the war isnt over.

I also posted this in the plant problem section under sub forum bugs.I have a good Idea. get a big trash can and a bottle of murphys oil soap. you want the concentrated its mostly vegetable oil. It wont hurt plants and kills mites. 3/4 cup to five gallons water fill your trash can or bucket cover the pots so the dirt doesn't fall out.Flip them upside down and dunk them for about a minute. Then pull them out slow wiping off all leafs undersides and tops start at the bottom pulling the plant out working your way to the top. shake off the access then let them dry before putting them back in your room. do this every three days for 2 weeks and you should be good.
