I have one more ? regarding this issue. What kind of microscope should I use to study the trichomes and when should I stop spraying my plant leaves? The trichomes are starting to show but I still have bugs. I don't want my leaves eaten up but I dont want mildew either. So when should I stop spraying my leaves? Thanks.

You should get a min of 30x scope. I would recommend the one from radio shack 60 - 100x with a light. Its the same thing as the 420 scope but half the price. You should stop spraying your leaves now...what are you spraying them for? To kill the bugs? What kind of bugs are they?

If you ever try a real microscope for looking at trichs you will never go back. It is amazing the wide field of view, like being in a forest of trichs. And the good news is you can pick up great old school and college scopes on ebay cheap. Search for vintage microscopes and look for Bausch and lomb, Tasco and Spencer. Ask if they are working correctly and if they need anything. I just bought a like new Tasco for $15.

That is so true if you have the room for one of those and it wont bring up any suspicion.
If you do happen to get a 420 scope or simliar, the easiest way is to use it is to cut off a sugar leaf thats nice and close to the bud and covered in resin. Lay it on the table and take a look. Otherwise, you will have a hard time being still enough to see what your looking for.
Old school scopes are freaking awesome :hump:

I agree.. you can't beat a old-skool scope..I have a 420 scope however & it works great.. BUT You can get cheaper alternatives here:

Ok, when should I stop putting fertilizer in my tank? I read somewhere we are suppose to stop feeding it plant food and use nothing but water like 2 weeks before harvest. Is that right? I guess I figure when that is by the color of the trichomes? Right? Can anyone post me a chart? Thanks.
