Buds too heavy. Plant almost falls over.

So, I'm on my second grow right now. I have a small tent with a blurple LED. I tried to do the same as last time: grow four plants in a small space. What I had not expected however, was that 2 of the 4 girls would turn into absolute monsters.

One plant of these two monsters remain. It's a White Diesel Haze automatic by White Label and it looks veery sativa in the way it's growing and all. So, I expected the flowering period to be somewhat longer than usual and just went with it. The plant had a potassium deficiency, which caused it to stretch, which on its turn makes the stems a little less sturdy. I am now 14 weeks in since germination, and if memory serves me right I'm on about week 8 of flower.

This strain was supposed to have a relatively short flowering period. I did not plan ahead, because I did not think it was ever going to get this big. The branches are weighing down the entire plant towards the middle of my tent. I'd say I'm going to chop a little early, but the buds are still putting out a massive amount of white pistils. I looked at the trichomes, and on the sugar leaves there is a lot of amber, but the buds themselves are more like 80-90% cloudy and the rest clear.

I just want to make it to harvest without wasting too much quality or quantity. If anyone's got tips for me, I'd be happy to take them. I'll upload some pictures ASAP for extra visual info.

Stake, tie up , anything....just try not to waste the months of work you have put in by harvesting early.
Good luck.

Doing this right now. I'm grabbing fan leaves with clotheshangers and tying them to the top of my tent in hope they don't pull out the leaves. Fingers crossed

go to mc donalds and get some straws , cut them open down one side and slip them over the stems
Haven't thought about this and probably should've done this sooner. What scares me most is that the branches are bending from the base and not in the middle of a branch, so it would be hard to do this now, I think. If it snaps, it won't be in the middle, but straight up on the main stem...

Thanks for the responses! As of now I'm wondering how much heavier she'll get before harvest. It seems as if the pistils are not planning on turning brown anytime soon...

Small problem with a simple solution.

Bamboo stakes.
You could be my dad! About half an hour ago he showed up with some bamboo stakes I didn't knew he had lying around. As if he had just made them appear. The plant is now supported with three bamboo stakes. I'm glad I had an extra pair of hands to help me out while staking it and some people to think along with me. Thanks all!

I like this method but man I have a few in 2 gallon? Pots right now and the bamboo stakes won’t even come out beyond a third of the inner plant lol. Idk what to do now

They sell bud support rope clips on Amazon. Similar to what the light ropes look like but with hooks. Adjust to the tension needed and it supports all the weight. Best investment I've ever made regarding support.
Plant yo yo's. They can be helpful if you have plants reaching high up in the tent, but honestly, bamboo stakes work perfect for me everytime because I keep my canopy at stake level, which is idk, maybe 4 ft?

I use plastic-coated paper clips and tie them to the tent frame with cooking twine. Doesn't adjust tension like a yo yo, but it's dirt cheap.

I bought some yo yos about a year ago and forgot about them until a couple of weeks ago. Things are awesome. Highly recommend.

Another thing you can do is take some of the soft plastic coated thick garden wire, and wrap a length of it in a spiral around the part of the trunk you want to support, then you can bend it in any direction. I usually don't use a scrog because my plants are all different strains, but I use that garden wire method to train the buds and branches where I want them to go. I can take a pic later if anyone is interested and can't picture what I'm talking about.

I might just want to try this on my next few plants. Staking the White Diesel has created a new spot in the tent, so I just dropped a new seed in some soil :D Normally I just attach clotheshangers to the plastic pots and then pull them down with regular wire, but it's a hassle getting the pots in and out every time.

Seeing bonsai plants gave me the idea. Just a few inches of it can bend a branch 90 degrees and hold it in place, so it's pretty useful for that kind of thing too.

Whatever you do don't use twine, yarn, or anything with loose fibers that can get into your buds.

Well damn! Why didn't I think of that. I know exactly what you're talking about.

I was looking at that anodized wire for bonzai.
