what do you mean by ''the flush''?Perfect! So...how do I know when to start the flush? Is there some physical sign that I'm about a week away?
Oh...I was told to stop giving fertilizer one week before I cut it and just switch to straight water. That way it flushes the fertilizer out of the plant. Because I don't know when the plant is ready, I have no idea how to calculate "One week before cutting it".what do you mean by ''the flush''?
well, you cant actually get the fertilizer out of the plant for 2 weeks anyway... i stop ferts when i dont really see any more white hairs shooting and give just molasses and alg-a-mic by biobizzOh...I was told to stop giving fertilizer one week before I cut it and just switch to straight water. Just keep posting pictures here - good bunch of guys willing to help out.Perfect! So...how do I know when to start the flush? Is there some physical sign that I'm about a week away?
your plant may not take 10 weeks, but it looks like its got plenty of fattening up to do. keep checking in weekly and we will give you opinions based on our personal experiences, not definitive answers. we dont mind helping out at all...were all kinda sick here...we love porn...BUD PORNThanks so much guys! I will post another update in about 2 weeks. I think, if I can get a feel for how the buds progress, from you guys, I'll be able to know what I'm doing the next time around.
Haha...i think you misunderstood me... 10 weeks total..6 plus 4 more, lol.@A_String
Reading the thread so far - you have 3-8 weeks to go, maybe 10 --- 3 weeks minimum; NO HURRY - plenty of time to plan ahead based on the experience you read here.
My newbie $.02 -
Keep track of weeks, but stop using them as a count-down clock - they'll be ready when they're ready (unless you have a delivery deadline --- doubtful )
The plants have probably stopped growing, but the buds will be fattening and stacking from now on.
Watch for dying leaves and keep an eye on trichs - changing from clear to cloudy / amber.
Post back on the this thread as you go --- day to day changes are easier to spot when you can look back at pics from last week.
RELAX & ENJOY - this is a pretty slow-motion hobby; very little needs to be done NOW.
There are A LOT of VERY EXPERIENCED growers willing to show us how THEY do it - what WORKS for THEM.
Some of them have done it THEIR way for a lot of years - because THEIR way works for THEM.
edit --- Take their experience and USE IT!
Look at grow journals that line up with your method or one that you're interested in (soil / hydro / HID / LED / 4x4 / etc):
Emulate the healthy green journals and make "what not to do" notes when you read about problems - deficiencies, burns, etc.
Take what works, leave what doesn't - make it YOUR grow.
My mentors in person and here on RIU have directed my current grow more than I have. It's on ME to develop MY method and give back by journaling successes and failures.
Was wondering --- I'm new, but that did seem long....Haha...i think you misunderstood me... 10 weeks total..6 plus 4 more, lol.
