Buds smell funny

Hey there,

Im into about the 3rd week of flowering my lemon haze plant.

The problem is....it doesnt really smell.....and when i get close to smell it, it almost smells mouldy

Am i right in assuming that it should be smelling like ganja not a plant by now???

Im thinking of flushing it.......and then using biobizz bloom for the rest of the flowering.

I have been using miracle grow pour and feed lol....i couldnt get any propper stuff until last week.....dunno if thats whats causing the funny smell......they arent mouldy but do smell it

Any advice to get this back on track

Or is it normal for them to have a funny smell in the first few weeks of flowering????

I wouldn't worry about it. After all, if you don't know what it normally smells like at this point, you can't really say it smells funny.

Haha true.....i dont want to leave it too late though and end up with skanky tasting bud

A flush would do no harm i pressume????

could i just pour a few gallons of plain water through it....and then start feeding it the biobizz in a couple of days when the soils not so wet?????

This is my first grow so im kinda worrying haha

And the smell your prob smelling is skunk..

Any advice to get this back on track

theres no way on gods green earth thats only 3 weeks of flowering, if you need help and have questions you need to be honest with us to get correct answers......
And the "moldy" smell is most likely skunk

HAHA thats what im doing...learning

It was put into flowering on 23rd December 2009....so yes it is about 3 weeks of flowering

Why would i lie???? lol

To be honest....i think ive done a cracking job for my first time grow i will just ignore your negative feedback and continue as i was...... done great up to now

Must have otherwise you wouldnt be doubting the time its been flowering....i must just have the magic touch eh hahaha

I just hit two weeks with AK48, nice buds coming it, but the oder is not nearly as strong. Its not moldy, its there, but usually it stinks up my house. everything is healthy as can be, just no overbearing smell.

i think your good mine kinda smells mould but it has a SLIGHT chonic smell. AND I USE NO NUTES

Oh, BTW, I always get negative comments on my grows, but my indoor yields are damn near a QP a plant. I assume I am doing something right, and if it aint broke, don't fix it. I started my 12/12 on Jan 8, germination beginning dec 1. I hate that shit and I hate assholes. I was told my plants were too "stretched" and not bushy enough. WTF??? I always post helpful comments, and what works for me, may not work for you. Its not like a plant in Oregon is going to grow the exact same as in Florida.

Maybe he's focusing on the skunk and haze and not considering all the indica blood in lemon skunk. neither of the sativas in it would look like that at 3 weeks by themselves.

Most strains that I've worked with that have skunk in them have that slightly detectable smell something like mold/decay. It's normal.

Im only growing 2 plants so i havent spent HOURS and HOURS of time on them....if they grow they grow, if they dont then i carry on buying bud....simples lol.

I have been told so many different things on here....i have come to the conclusion that it is personal preference.

I was told 12 weeks to flower, 8 weeks to flower etc....no one really knows by the sound of it haha.....im going to flower until the hairs start going amber.... (60%)

Im sure someone will tell me to leave it till 70% or 80% or less....i dunno lol. Even the books that are available dont give the same advice.
