so i've been curing my shit for about a week and a half and i haven't seen any moisture return to the buds at all. i let them dry in a rubbermaid tub with the lid partially open and a box fan on low blowing air out of the rubbermaid. people told me it would take 5-7 days for it to dry like this... i waiting 4 and the stems bent stiffly(right before they snap) so i harvested... i'd been opening the jars for like 4 hours everyday.. wtf?:cuss:

What's the problem? The dryer the better (more potent). If you don't like a harsh smoke throw an orange peel in the bag overnight and it will be back to the sticky icky you know and love, with a pleasent orange smell.

Careful there, if you leave that peel in there too long you will cause mold to grow. I've seen it happen and it was a damn shame.

I would never recommend you dry your buds like that again.
drying is a very important process and key to the final product.

I hang my branches in my closet with a small fan circulating(indirectly) the air(55% humidity). I leave them in there for up to two weeks. Waiting for the stems to snap under pressure.
Then I jar it up.

the fan i had was indirect... and if i waited any longer the fan would blow the nug/dust away... the shit is still maaaaaaaad crumbly:wall:

read the faqs about curing it tells you exactly wut to do, im not sure if you supose to have that fan blowing on them while they curing, you only supose to burp it ( open it for 10 mins once a day for a week) but wut do I know my first harvest is next week

When I said a small fan I was referring to more like a desktop size, not a box fan. They are too big.

Instead of using a orange peel as suggested earlier, I would take a piece of tortilla and place it in the jar.

The tortilla is not going to influence the smell or taste, just the moisture content. (works like a charm).
I often do that when I receive marijuana that is too dry to handle.
