Buds below tops are turning brown and have no crystals?

I have no idea what is going on and I'm starting to think it may be a strain issue. These are all outdoors, in central cali, started in mid March. The gdp indicas are the only strains that seem to be perfect except for minimal caterpillar damage. All of the plants have been aggressively treated, both organic sprays, and the kind you pour into the root system. These are not my personal plants and I can't call the shots, only give advise, so I'm bringing this matter here. There is a shit ton of mites, maybe aphids, I dunno, tiny little black and white bugs, which suck but overall the plants all look very good. Vegging, they did wonderful, but now that the buds are developing on the tip tops are perfect and then they seem to all dry out and loose their luster.. the hairs are turning brown/orange, no smell. The strains having issues are animal cookies, and the platinum cookies ( pic 5 & 6)looks like absolute shit. The Plat. cookies, has the worst pest infestation I believe and most if not all the leaves have turned into "tacos". I suspect the strain needs more humidity and it's a dry hot summer here. Everything gets plenty of water and food, but I can't figure out why all these leaves look burnt or warped.. and all these buds seem to be finishing up quickly at pop corn sizes. All of these are from the same mother plant and what's even weirder is some aren't even flowering yet and we only have less then a month before the light drops below 12 hours. What do you guys think? Strain/environment? Should we cut all these messed up flowers off? I doubt they would even get us high, they have no stickiness, no smell, nada.. reminds me of like vaporized weed... but they are not to the touch, like they aren't dried of and crumble.. it's just as wet as the rest of the plant. Thanks guys, and hope you all are having better luck!

no way is that bud rot that's the hemp russet mite aka the red death like splfreak808 said scope you will be looking for little grains of rice white to yellowish to color look in the middle of buds. I hate to say it but tis almost imposible to destroy them ounce flower has started. I would try big time exterminator its organic and works pretty well but you really have to spary the plants make sure to cover everything and make sure the plant is dripping wet read my thread aka the death
I'm not too familiar with bud rot but its most likely bud rot.
This is why I LOVE to look at this site.

People who have never grown a plant in their lives offering up 4th hand information.

"Yeh pass the bong and I'll tell you how to do some serious bud"

Funny.

Well hell!! I had the same issue and though it was broad mites!! I'll have to check up on some russet mite info. I spray my gals down with some been oil last week and it looks like some of the bud are regrowing pistils. I'll take some pictures tomorrow. Hopefully yours might bounce back?

Thanks again guys, I'm glad my roomie had a microscope. I just learned a shit ton in one evening lol! We are too late in the flower stage I think. I found Azamax apparently works very good but you only wanna use it veg and early bloom... I think we might be able to catch it, but the only problem is no one has 80-100$ to buy the amount we would need. Also read that Avid causes cancer when you burn it. A lot of shops are trying to push it for mites like these but I'll only go organic. I'm wondering what would happen if I watered my plants with special teas like, rosemary, tobacco, lavender, ginger, garlic, mint, etc.. would and could the plants absorb these other plant oils and essences and utilize them as a defense? I could always theoretically flush them afterwards.. anyone try doing something like this? The red death, I'll remember that!

Im sorry to say the only organic type of spray that i have ever came across that would prevent most pest would be neem and/or rosemary oil. I have been through the whole pepper/garlic/tobacco thing. It doesn't do shit for mites but stunt them for a day or so, but it does work for flying bugs untill the mix wears off. Yes the plant will absorb the neem but it will wear away eventually depending on the environment. Last time i had mites, i burned my plants alive, dumped my pots in bleach, tossed the soil out,i gave a thorough 110% bleach cleaning inside and outside of the house, i then fogged the place with doktor doom. And started a new set of seedlings, 3 weeks in i started noticing spider mites again. I once again cleaned the entire house, did a double treatment of doktor doom, and started fresh seedlings with a neem/water foliar everytime i water, this seem to have did the trick for me and if it didnt ill be damned.
