Budding Newbie

I posted this in the reg. newbie forum and someone suggested I repost here since I have a hydro system. Second week of blooming and there are no signs of buds. My leaves keep weltering up or turning brown and falling off. Is that normal? Also what's the best PPM schedule to follow for bubbleponics systems from start to bloom?

Best thing would be to explain everything of where you are now then someone might spot a problem.

Ok, this is my second week in the budding phase and this is my first grow. Since I started this phase the leaves on all of my plants have started weltering and turning black or brown and then falling off. Right now I am using the sleathhydro prepackaged bloom formulas on my plants. I don't know if this is normal or not. Any suggestions would help me tremendously. Thanks in advance.

Yes you are to use the micro. It's just that it sounded like a nute problem at first and I was starting with the basics. However, when switching from veg to bloom it is fairly normal to lose quite a few leaves. Less N in the bloom nutes and the plant starts robbing from the old growth for the new growth in the absence of enough N.

You scared the sh** out of me. I thought I had messed something up...badly!!! So you are saying this is normal? When should I expect to see bud? Thanks in advance.

Depends on the strain a little but most of the time around 2 weeks into flower and 12/12 lighting. In your case any time now but patience is the key. It's a pot plant and it will flower. Actually a good sign that it has taken this long since they usually show male slightly ahead of when they show a female. Be careful what you wish for, you may get it applies here. LOL!

Ok, I think I have 3 males I need to get rid of. There are a whole bunch of pods at the base of these plants. Can you smoke these plants or do anything with them or just trash them? Thanks in advance.

I take the males, pick all the pods and add them (podless) to my pile that I later turn into hash oil. Keep in mind that the male plant has non-psychoactive oil that is laden with CBD. That's the part that is good for pain relief but does not get you "high". If you do smoke them in times of desparation expect it to be harsh and a downer.
