Putting them out early will make them bud, especially in the South. Same thing happend to me last summer. Just cut the buds off when it's done then it will reveg. You have a long hot summer so you will get twice the use outta the same plant. I had plants outside I didn't chop until Thanksgiving last year.

HAHA, I put out 5 plants in ealry May and 2 of them were males and grew pollen sacks all over...... I guess males will show there sex before females, that's what I read. At least i didn't have to waste my time on them. The one male was already 3ft when it went out. It would of been a 10ft female, to bad! the rest of my crop was fine and is doing amazing today.

Congrats neednewBUDgrowingtips! I hope they turn out to be real monsters!!! Over the past few years I have grown some name band stuff that I ordered online (I have had great results with the attitude seed bank, btw) and had mixed results: some were great and some were real duds. But I have taken bag seeds from stuff I have bought and grew some amazing plants from them.

You are absolutely right smokinguns- here in FLA the conditions are perfect for growing. The last freeze is usually in February and the first is usually in December. Mix that with hot, humid days and the conditions are right to grow some killer buds. I have a couple sativa's that I have out in the woods that are around 4 feet tall at this point. By the time the harvest rolls around for them they should be huge because of the 8 months of growth on them. I have had girl's get 10-14 feet tall in the past with buds all over them. And with all the rain we get I usually don't have to water them. (They are in relatively sandy soil in a shady area. They get a few feedings and that is it. They always do just fine.)

I am not knocking you guys who live in more northern latitudes- you guys have figured out how to grow some mind blowing buds up there. Kudos!

I have a theory about why our plants grow so well outside here: the mosquitoes suck all the blood out of the British tourist who come here to swim (or drown, as the case usually is) in our warm ocean. The mosquitoes then come to hang out on our plants and chill out for a while before heading out for another round. They poop the processed tourist blood onto the plants thereby fertilizing them with a unique mixture of nutes. It is a win-win for us: great fertilized plants and frustrated tourist who get tired of drowning and being eaten alive by mosquitoes (pretty much our state bird) so they go home. :-)

I like your blood and Brits theory. Damn, you have plants out that are already 4ft tall. Talk about some monsters.
