Budd Rot/ Mould Mid flower, i'm not feeling good about this, please help

I've been growing for about a year, and currently have 2 Blue Mystiic ladies in Soil (Biobizz light mix, plus I added Worm castings, perlite and clay pebbles).

There is almost a damp smell coming from them rather then a fruity one, and I'm worried that this is early signs of mould or something. I don't think that I am over watering ( about 700ml every 3 days when lower leaves start to droop, and when the soil seems dry and the pots are light to lift). I have seen from earlier grows that sometimes there are pockets of soil that don't get much root, and I'm wondering if this has happened, it may be too moist down there. (if only :) )

If it is early signs of mould, what do I do, let the plants and soil really dry out, so there is much wilting??

One plant looks much healthier then the other due to the fact it was grown in a different environment at first, as part of an experiment, yet I would say it is also the healthier plant that smells worse.... PLEASE HELP ME!!

Oh they are in a 2x2 tent with 4" extractor (184 things per hour), and circulating fan at canopy level, and all under a 250w HPS

OK a little more reading and it appears Indica, with thick bushy stems, and solid canopy is asking for mould due to airflow issues. I currently trim wasted lower branches to allow airflow and CO2 around the leaves, and have moved my r circulating fan onto 24 hours rather then on the 12/12 timer. I'm also going tot go out and by a clip fan tommorrow, about 6" I guess, to add additional air movement, and shell out the extra 25% for an oscillating one.

Think that this, alongside letting the soil comlpetely dry should see me through the last few weeks of flower??

God damn-it it's fucking MOLD not "mould" Fuck. I'm having issues myself and with all the bitching about using the fucking search feature the least we could do is spell simple fucking words correctly. Fuck. Sorry you got in the way of my rage but I'm fucking pissed about MOLD myself and this just threw me over the edge.

Hahaha, I kept wondering about it as I was typing, but don't worry too much about my spelling in none official documents. Thinking about it I guess mould is as in a jelly mould or something. Sorry to send you over the edge...smoke and joint and forget about it :bigjoint:

It's OK, Hetty... I get tired of all the mis-spelling here too, it's not just you. :)

Does the plant smell, or is it the soil itself that smells?
I don't think you'd have mold under those leaves, with the fan going, and I hope you didn't hack off too much.
Do you see anything under the leaves? Lean down there and sniff the armpit LOL. NO, really, see if you can tell where the odor is stronger.
I really saw a difference in the grow of mine (slowing) when I lollipopped it as an experiment when I read about it, and now my lower leaves really hang down and collect there next to the main stalk.
Mine is outdoors, but I have high humidity all the time, and I don't even have any sign of mold.
But also when I had a couple bad leaves on my Sativa, I hacked them before I knew better, and I could tell on it as well, that the growth slowed.
I wouldn't go out and put the extra expenditure of more fans just yet, just leave the one you have on 24/0.

I can't....My 4th amendment is going to be randomly violated for the next few months. :-( Thanks for being a good sport about me being a dick. (bro-hug)
I'm very sorry to hear that, I'm in UK, but think I understand what's going for you.

And I really didn't mind your spelling comments...untill you just revealed you're American...its COLOUR AND FLAVOUR, and you pronounce it al-u-min-ium!!!!! :)

Hope you're back smoking soon!!!

its like ye olde mould. somethings wrong with the plants or plant , hard to tell what, maybe you can get something decent but you might want to let it dry out or harvest if it starts smelling bad, or flush

Mold is usually found in fat main colas bro so i think your popcorn buds will be ok.

Thank you, it was/is the budds themselves that smell damp, but for a week a i was spraying them with water first thing in the morning (to piss off my resident spider mites), then after allowing the leaves to dry for an hour, then went back under the light. I think that this combined with no airflow over night have caused the problems, and have already taken measures against this.

Cool. Good luck.
I've got my plants in pots outdoors, and somebody told me go out after my rain quits and give them a shake to get some of the excess moisture out of the buds.

I've considered an outside grow, but couldn't handle fighting all the bugs, I get enough probs indoors... but do hear that you can;t beat natural sun for gettng the most from the budds

They like the sun, what little direct they get with all the trees around and over me, but they really like the rain.
I have been lucky, I don't get hardly any bug problems on these, white flies on the tomatos, and there's something I can't catch yet that really loves my Habanero pepper leaves.
I was worried doing the molasses thing would attract ants, coons, possums, deer, cats, etc. but so far I have been very lucky.

Spray your plants w SNS17 not water. Get a humidometer and check that its 40-60 and for God's sake quit spraying w water.
