For two days ive been looking up bud rot and im still going back and forth on whether or not I have it so please help lol I got pm on one of my plants during flower and i was fighting with it with greencure for a while. I heard alot about greencure burning pistils and surely enough...it did. Im in week 9 of bloom and in my last few days before harvest. The last greencure treatment I did, I sprayed the shit out of my buds because I knew it would probably be the last spray down before harvest. The next day, all of the pm was gone, but some of my buds were a little brown where the powdery mildew was. I thought it was the greencure which just had a bad effect on my buds but now I think its bud rot. I snipped a bud off and it was brown, but it doesn't look fuzzy, or mushy. So thats why I'm thinking it may have been the greencure. Someone just let me know if I'm delusional or not by not thinking its bud rot. Thanks!

Greencure (Which I'm pretty sure is just potassium bicarbonate mixed with a surfactant) is supposed to protect against bud rot in addition to treating powdery mildew, so it would seem strange to me that it would come down with it after being treated so often with GC.

You won't see alot of fuzz. Take the brown bud and strip it down the the stem, that's where the mold attacks first, that's why the sugar leaves die (Pic 2). You should see hairs on the stem that look like trichomes if it is mold and the buds will start to brown from the inside out.

I noticed it on my last grow at harvest due to my intake fan failing for a week. I dryed it out to stop the mold from developing
and lost about 1 out of 4 plants to it plus an ounce in total from the other 3 which left me with about 3 ounces. If you find
mold starting on curing bud then it's a bad type of mold that will harm you, nothing in the jar is salvageable.

It's always salvageable, you can bake it in the oven at ~300f for about an hour, it will kill all the mold and won't remove much if any thc. Smoke will be harsh after that but it's better than smoking mold or losing your whole harvest

I suppose you could do that then make oil with it, i wouldn't like to smoke flower that came out of an oven.

thanks for the help. I took a few buds down and cut them in half. The stem is still green and on a few the very inside is a bit green, it kinda looks like its going from the outside in? Does that mean its not bud rot? I still see trichs on the bud so I tried to put my phone up to the microscope but the pics arent that great.
