Bud Rot?

Hi everyone this is my first post and my first grow.

I'm in week 9 of flower and yesterday I noticed the biggest cola on one plant had started to dry out near the top and the leaves on the bud turned yellow and crispy over the course of 24-48 hours. This cola was the closest to the 600w HPS but some of the smaller/lower colas on that plant are going the same way.

I have picked it apart quite a bit but can anyone confirm whether this has bud rot? I'm colour blind so sometimes doubt whether I'm seeing what I think I am.

Thanks.

sad to say yes it is and bad too. try to cut as much away thatyoucan and be gentle when you do,itspreads like wild fire if the sporesstart floating around and they will. i use a vaccume cleaner when i trim the rot out. you could try that at the same time as trimming the rot out

Thank you and thanks for the tip. I don't think there will be much of it left to be honest. Is it worth harvesting the healthy buds seeing as it's a few weeks early, or just cut my losses and bin the whole thing?

To prevent bud rot you need to lower the humidity and have good air circulation. Know that the humidity often spikes at lights out. Get that humidity down below 50%.

Can you get the humidity under control? Bend the remaining buds open a little and make sure they are clean. If they don't have any rot and you can get the RH% down and keep it down then you should be able to save whats left.

Ouch! Yes, it's bud rot. I'd think there was something wrong if I didn't get a bit of bud rot ..... lol
I'm using a spray product called Guard n Aid Healthy Leaf and Bud to counter the bud rot. There's also a product called Seranade. It's my first time using the Guard n Aid so the jury is still out but so far so good.

Thanks Renfro, that makes sense. I'm sure I have good circulation and have never spotted any humidity problems but in last week I started halving my extraction speed at lights out in an attempt to save some electric. It's usually 45-50%RH with full speed extraction so maybe half speed wasn't enough and the humidity crept up?

I worry I'll miss bits and ruin the other plants as I'm not 100% sure what I'm looking for. This is the plant with the main cola cut off. You can see the leaves on the other cola starting to go and the bud below where I've cut looks gone already. Is any of that saveable?

Thanks Moflow I will look into getting some in case it spreads.
