Hello all. Im in Maryland, outdoor grow, and just got through that tropical storm over the weekend. I have a feeling i got a bit of bud rot from the amount of rain and moisture in the air, combined with low temps and no sunlight for about 3-4 days...i was shaking the plant off every day, even brought it inside for 2 days...but this morning noticed this...hoping theres a way to keep the rest of the plant ok?. Should i just chop now and keep whats good? Ive also heard to possibly spray buds with peroxide? PLEASE HELP!

Im with them ^
There is WPM on the leaves and you also have budrot. Toss it in the bin, trust me, your lungs will thank you.

Haven't even seen the mildew, yikes. That's not the biggest issue tho.
But that rotten shit is seriously bad for your lungs.
A friend who wouldn't listen (because he got a ton of weed for free, that was rotten) ended up doin not so well.
So I'm seriously warning you: FORGET ABOUT IT, unless you wanna meet your maker earlier than most of us.

kind regards, sh0

If the bud rot is in just a few places, I would cut parts with bud rot, plus 2” off and discard, then at harvest I would do a triple wash you can find videos and information on a web search. Definitely don’t smoke to rot, but it looks like you still have some flower left to harvest (: :peace: :weed:

Tessa, please... you don't gamble on your health like that just for a couple of joints...
NO NO NO BUENO.

If a cow is sick you don't cut the ugly parts and still eat it ...

:wall:

Is this bud rot or another problem?
The leaves that come out of the bud are dying, drying and then the bud itself dies in a few days. The dry but does not smell like rot - just dead and dry.

How do I save my plant?
There has been no rain in the last two weeks.
That looks like rot to me. Is the entire plant demonstrating the same behaviour? Like all bud sites or just a few? Hand waterin’ like a ‘sum bitch the last few weeks myself. Sucks man.

It was 2 small spots. Cut them out. Sprayed with a little peroxide. Gonna harvest this weekend. Thinking about doing a bud wash just to be safe. Never washed before...any thoughts? Heres some recent pics...

Do what you can to preserve what little you can. I have the same situation from that Tsunami in the NE. I lost most of my Durban Posion(s) to bud rot, but salvaged a few ozs. and it is very potent if I may add. Just make sure you completely cut leaving good margins. It was sad losing those big FAT colas on top that were most affected. But, I am thankful for what I have. God blessed us with incredible weather this week so the rest of my girls recovered and show no symptoms of rot or pm. Make sure to sanitize all of your tools with alcohol and sanitize work area Wear GLOVES

For a couple small spots of bud rot I wouldn't do a wash. I mean you can but then you risk more rot when drying if not dried properly since the spores are already there now.

honestly i have gotten bud rot before outdoors because caterpillars were eating my nugs pooping everywhere etc save your health i know how it feels too throw a plant away i tossed a 7ft tall plant that i grew outdoors because of budrot my understanding is budrot starts within the plant and works its way out so its inside of your plant everything is infested :( throw it all away.

Im taking the risk! It looks and smells too good not to. Ive been a heavy smoker for the past 25 years. Pretty sure ive came across a few patches of bud rotted weed in my day. And am still alive and well today lol. I do appreciate everyones concerns for my health tho!
