Humidity does play a role but it gets a bigger spot light when it comes to molds than it deserves. Logically it makes since. “There’s moisture in the air it must make e buds rot!!” Really airflow and temp are more important. You can still get rot in 20% humidity.
yoi can also not rot in 65% humidity if temps are in check and airflow is within proper ranges.

just saying you can’t expect to put a dehu and lowering RH to really change anything. Increase airflow is the key. Turning the room over and not having “micro climates” or corners that don’t have fresh air is vital.

also cleanliness is vital. Get any decomposition out of grow room.

Looking at picture #5 ( the bud cut into pieces), you can see very clearly the brownish/grayish bumpy mold. This is when boystris cinerea becomes big trouble. When it's reached this stage, spores will be dispersed. I always catch before the mold is matured. I eliminate problem at first site of " dark spot" on bud.

That's when some plants of mine outside last summer developed rot. We had a spell of elevated temps, no breeze and very high humidity.

Thanks guys never gave it a thought to clean out the dehumidifier filter etc but definitely makes sense!

Find a way to reduce further.... crank it up if you can... if yoir incoming air is higher than yoir room then you want to slow down air exchange.... keep it at 25c even at night. Reduce your watering amount or cover your pots. Defoliate. Anything to reduce moisture. More circulating fans can be good but they can spread the spores... so its dependant on you controlling the other factors

This is absolutely right...i noticed later that one of my oscillating fans was knackered and wasn't giving much airflow at all even though it was still moving etc. I strongly suspect this was the cause of the rot having stagnant air
