Bud rinsing.

Ok guys. Few days from harvesting and I really need a solid rinse method since I’m outdoors in Cali and some of you may know (outside of Cali) about the crazy fires we had. I’ve got a little bit of ash residue, bug/bird poop, dirt and Dust and I’m sure other undesirable Particles on the plant. Want the cleanest smoke possible. I know about the diluted hydrogen peroxide/lemon juice mix. Is there anything better or more effective as far as rinsing unwanted particles from bud after cutting? And if the peroxide method is the way to go. How long do I soak the buds in it before I dunk them in the pure water for the final rinse? I did a trial run with some buds I cut early. Seemed like a lot of shit came out of it but I’m not sure if I let soak long enough. Maybe 30 sec to a minute. Thanks guys. I’m shooting for the best quality I can get out of this bud. So far it’s looking absolutely killer. So I’m trying my best to get the full potential of the bud quality all around.

So this is my sundae driver that based off the trichs I’m assuming should be ready in a few days. I’m seeing about 5% amber Starting to Slowly creep in and the rest are full and cloudy.

This is my lava cake that I’m thinking has about another week or so. Still a lot of immature pistils but trichomes are showing the same. All milky and a kiss of amber here and there. I’ll try and get some good trich pics here in a sec.

I didnt make it. But its sound and effective. I did however do without the baking soda.

Here's what it looks like. I'm in nor cal.

Best up close of the trichs I can get right now. You can see the amber here and there. You guys think she’s ready for the chop in about 4 days

In that particular shot there is still pistils that are still white and not receding into the bud.

I see 1 amber trichome in the second pic. No I don't think its ready to chop in 4 days. But I understand the desire to chop when you see red. Pun intended

I do the same, except I use lemon juice as a substitute for hydrogen peroxide. It works pretty good. All kinds of crap in even the second bucket. I do a third bucket with cold tap water. Just because I feel it will shrink up the vegg. material "think man shrinkige after a cold lake swim" so it dries better. JM2C :peace:

I just rinsed last 2 rounds in peroxide water and found it dried them out real quick. Good for pm not so good for normal drying and curing.

I have a big bag of citric acid. I was thinking about doing a citric acid wash on an outdoor plant I have just to get anything off it. Did you use just lemon juice, and what did you put in the second bucket? Thanks. I've never washed buds before.

When i do wash my buds, I've always used 1 half cup of dry baking soda, and a half cup of lemon juice, to a 5 gallon bucket of 80-100 degree water in first bucket, Then clean Luke warm water only in the second, Then cold tap water in the third, for the stiffness factors mentioned above.

Did you rinse it in clean water after the h202 rinse? I have not experienced what you are talking about.
