Bud rehydrated when left outside of jar?

So I have a fully cured bud that I removed from the jar and after sitting out for a day it seemed to have gained moisture. It's not humid here or anything.....it was just the right dryness before but now it's somewhat difficult to break up. It was cured for 2 months, with no signs of stored moisture inside.
Anyone experience this before?

What is the rooms relative humidity?

Not very high which is why I'm baffled.
It's cold and dry, probably in the 20-40 range

If the buds in the jar have more moisture than the same buds outside the jar, then the outside humidity much be higher.
The inner moisture of buds redistribute in the first 2-3 days of curing, and balancing it can take up to 2 weeks. If the buds were dry in the jar after 2 months it is not inner moisture.
