Firstly congrats there beatiful man wel done.. Secondly im sure those bad boys are starting to get a nice little aroma to them what do you do about controlling the plungent smell thse girls give off????

Yes the test plants that were grown in 12/12 from seed did get overnuted when i attempted to feed them a lil to much.
I think it was using to much molasses and filtered water mixed with miracle gro,miracle gro erica and tomorite.
I think the molasses and filtered water caused a higher uptake and burnt them,they are flushed though now.
I have reduced the tomorite to 10ml per 3 litres now and only 1 dessert spoon of molasses,using filtered water increases the nute uptake a lot.

I have 1 box of bicarbonate of soda and 2 ona gel containers in the cupboard.
1 ona container is placed on the fans base and 1 nearer to the plants but not directly by them.
I also use disposable dehumidifiers from the pound shop which also have a deodorizing action.

Glad you liked them dude,i reckon that these are an Australian plant if ever i saw one lol.
Would probably grow huge in your sunshine outdoors
P.S. Is it still a 1000 dollar per seed fine in Oz?

The plant that he linked to was a lil bit burnt i have another thats even more burnt from testing different mixes of nute waters and molasses to see what i can get away with.
I think i have worked out the exact amounts now anyway if anyone wants them here they are.
10ml per 3 litres of water of levingtons tomorite with seaweed extract,1 3rd of the small spoon that comes in the box of miracle grow,1 dessert spoon of molasses and every other week i add 1 3rd of the small spoon of ericaceous to that mix to stop iron deficiency and add an extra half litre of water to it.

Do you measure ec readings? I'm asking because plants will need different levels of nutes at different stages of development.Thanks for the support but he is right on the smaller plant that he mentioned and linked to.

Nope,im really not a technical grower like you are,really i should do these things but i just wing it by eye.
I always feed them a higher strength nute once they are in full bloom but thats about as technical as i get at the moment.
If i had problems growing or if i was new to growing though i would recommend doing what you said because it takes a long time to be able to visually know or guess should i say what your plants want and need and when they want it.
I spent such a long time growing in such a basic manner with only fluro tubes and when i started out i burnt many plants badly,left them to dry and to wet,stubbed out dog ends in their pots,caused mould,bud rot,crushed kelp pills over nitrogen fed them to a crisp lol,harvested them to early the works of wrongness lol
Basically i have ruined many plants in my past and what you see is my best and not my previous mistakes,i learnt the hard way,but you are right you should check your plants with as many tools as are available to you especially when you are new to it

In fact, I've only started using a truncheon very recently... before that, i did it like you, by instinct. This is not good enough. You cannot tell by eye if an ec reading is too high... you'll never get the best out of your plants as you must always err on the side of caution. A truncheon is not a beginners tool, it is an ESSENTIAL one if you are to ever get the best out of your plants. Likewise a flowering schedule that has a beginning, a middle and an end.

Yeah i did a bit of reading up on it and it sounds like there are many great ways to maximize your yields,to be honest ive never really had a problem that ive noticed anyway because of ec,i think that every where ive ever lived has got different water,i have friends in Norwich who's water is yellowy if they run a bath,in Cornwall it is blue,in London its just plain skanky in most areas,basically filtered water isnt even just an option there its a must have sanitary device for being able to drink half of Londoner piss and rain water supply from your taps.
I would say don't pour that water on your plants unless you are happy to drink it yourself.
If i lived there i would distill my own water which in the time frame i use for growing shouldn't really have any major effect on my stuff as i just don't ever let them get more than about 3` 6" tall.
I just don't have the cash to start getting into expensive and technical routes when i can get the results that i want consistently without them.
If you live in any hard water area i can see how it would be very necessary to use ph and ec monitoring but i can get away with it where i live.
Anyway rambling stonedness typing gonna go do a tune

HOLY SHIT!!! i am gonna need a richer wife, lol. just kidding./ in this state i can legally grow two plants outside and be in possesion of 1oz. the cops have a infringement notice they give you(same as a speeding ticket) and you pay it within 30 days. pretty cool.
finding good seed is the hardest thing, i havent trried to mail order any yet. mate is going home to the uk and gonna send us some seeds/ he says the orange bud is killer, cant wait!!! hopefully around christmas/
