bud length. how much does it lose when drying

yo just wondering this is my 4th grow in my 3 previous grows i focused on having more top buds so there was plenty of buds but they werent as long as some ive seen but NOW my 4th has some nice 12-13 inch buds and with 3-4 weeks left and im just starting to wonder how much the bud loses in length im not talking about width or weight JUST LENGTH im familiar with the wieght and width loss like i said and i know it might depends on certain strains im just looking for a round about idea so lets take my biggest 1 and say 13 inches when harvest how long in length do u think it will end up being ???

i've never noticed much loss in size, just weight

Wood does not dry much along the grain, plants might be the same way.

Never bothered to wonder either...

They lose a lot of thickness all through cure but little length.

cheers blud thats the reply i was lookin for. yeh i hate the thickness loss lol every1 hates that nice 2 know still will have a nice long bud lol got 7 plants 1x northern light blue 1x blueberry skunk 1x GHS damn sour 1x GHS lemon skunk 1x GHS cheese 1x chiesil (a cuttin from a m and a unknown kush also a cittin from the same m8 lol im doin SOG in a small space had a bit of trouble keeping so many short so waited till enough nodes were present to switch to 12/12 so its a tall SOG

you'll lose about 75% weight from wet to dry

You may loose a little bit of size (as they tighten up), but mostly its just weight.

Like lowryder says, the rule of thumb is to expect 70-75% loss in weight.

You may only loose like 1-5% in physical size.

Jeezz. Talk about not paying attention.

The cola is all flowers along a lateral branch so when it drys is it really loses nothing in length. It would be like trying to shrink a stick. Won't happen, at least not noticeably. I experienced about 70% loss in weight.
