im a caregiver for a couple friends who are ill and i decided to plant some bagseed until we can get some white widow or ak and all plants turned out to be girls;-)except for 4 hermies.im somewhat overcrowded but wth....it bagseed, right?well im growing under 600watt hps with 2ft-t5 bloom bulbs for side lighting and a 4ft-t5 just for kicks.in a 4x4 custom made snake cage.(snakey died last year:-()i dont have many nute to use yet. im going to be getting the full line up from foxfarm, unless i learn of something better as i go.but for now i have started with some 24-8-16 mg all purpose plant food during veg. then went with 15-30-15 expert gardener all purpose plant food for the first couple weeks of flowering.now i have some bud candy and cha-ching and was wondering if i can use cha-ching in the middle of third week of flowering along with the bud candy and keep having good results?over all...not looking bad for a bunch of bagseed!oh...im using a mix of pro mix,ff ocean forest, bat poop, worm castings, perlite, vermaculite for my soil. any advice would be absorbed.thanksstinkeys 2013 002.jpgstinkeys 2013 005.jpgstinkeys 2013 009.jpgstinkeys 2013 003.jpgstinkeys 2013 010.jpgstinkeys 2013 013.jpgstinkeys 2013 011.jpg

they look very light, if i was you, i would try to feed them with a mix of both 24-8-16 and 15-30-15 at a 50/50. you should feed at 1/3 to 1/2 strenght, never more. bud candy is sulfur/amino acid/carbohydrate additive, you can use it from start to finish but it doesn't Worth the money, in my experience. Can't be bad for plant tho. i dont know what is cha-ching but you should try to stay as simple as possible if u dont know what you are doing. Fox farms is good, but skip the cha ching and other "additives" . They are not needed and your wallet will thank you. If you go the route of FF as a base (grow big/tiger bloom/other bottle), remember to keep using grow big in flower as tiger bloom lacks adequate nitrogen.

Personally I'd go buy Jacks Classic and Jacks citrus for basically the same cost as those three bottles and not only will you have a complete fertilizer but it will last you so many more grows.

Eta looking good mate. I'd consider getting done good ceeds now. I should help eliminate herms and improve quality

Personally I've purchased everything from attitude with zero problems. I've had 5 flawless orders. I have heard goofs things about The Seed Depot as well and I'm considering placing an order.
Two things to keep in mind, always get stealth as if they get confiscated the bank will reship and always see if you can find a discount code.

Keep them green!

My understanding of bud candy is that it's pretty much just sugars to help with taste and smell and can be used with pretty much everything. I use bud candy for all 6 weeks of my boosters with the AN nutrient line. It's good stuff. Makes my nugs smell like... well... candy.

You could easily use molasses if that was your theory on bud candy, of which I don't subscribe to as that's not how a plant works.

on a serious note, yes plant uptake sugars but not from roots but from leaves. just sayin. polysaccharide are the best form of carb for foliar feeding and can be found in fish emulsion with lot of other beneficial shit like pgr, amino acids ,npk and vitamin !

Bud candy is a formula of carbohydrates that including dextrose, glucose and xylose from raw cane extract as well as other extracts. The only nutrient it has is a tiny bit of magnesium. Check out the advance nutrients web site for yourself.

I suppose your right that bud candy isn't actually sugars, it's just the components the plants will use to make their own sugars. And yes it's true that bud doesn't make your buds actually smell like candy, it just brings out the aromas and flavors that already exist in the strain you're growing, in other wards, it smells good. The carbs can also help pack on weight.

so way to go super literal, nay saying roll it uppers, you guys really put me in my place.

How is it being super literal when you say it makes my buds smell like candy?

Even if I grew in soil, I still wouldn't add carbs of any kind to my soil unless that soil was sitting in compost.

Let's say weed could take sugars up the xylem (it can't), why would anyone in their right mind want their buds to taste sweeter? The best smoke is low sugar and low starch from a good dry and cure.

It's all bullshit either way. You aren't going to get bigger buds from carbs. Plants get ALL their carbon from the atmosphere. Sugar in the roots is like letting food fall into your lungs. It's not supposed to go there and will block important channels.

You're clogging the channels that potassium, calcium, and magnesium are supposed to get through for NO REASON.
