it's been another week and all is well. here's a pic from last saturday.

and here's a couple from today

the temps have been doing great, upper 80's with lights on and upper 60's with them off. humidity is staying between 40 and 60% usually on the low side. the water has been a steady 68. the snow white is taking the closet over and the 2 papaya are trying to catch up.

olny letting me load 3 pics at a time.
the first one is where the 3 babys will move to in due time, that's a diy carbon fan that takes care of all the sweet smells next to the co2 bottle. the design for it is in faq's. the second pic is one of 2 airpumps, the largest that petco sold. and the 3rd is a pic of the artificial sun:peace:
hAHAha if only the folks at the home depot knew what their buckets were being used for, right? looks like a sweet setup man... good luck

there is 2 pumps in the main resivoir, 1 circulating the chiller then 1 pumping nutrients over to the grow resivoir. there is a 1/2" hose connecting the 2 resivoirs together near the bottom to keep them level. there is airpumps running both. hope this explains it.
So with the pump going to the grow buckets I know you are pulling water from the chilled res and pumping into the buckets but how are they not overflowing or do you have another tube connecting them that pulls water from the system so it goes in a circle?

I guess (as best as this can show it) CHILLED RES----BUCKET A (which is connected to) BUCKET B--(tube runs back to CHILLED RES) BACK TO START?

last night i tied all the branches down on the snow white that was towering over the papaya. everything is close to being the same height and the closet is filling in nicely. can't wait to change to the 12/12 light schedule but it will have to until the plants are at least 18" tall.

the girls are starting to drink some water, it was 4 gallons low. i topped it off with filtered water with nothing added. how do you guys top off, add nutrients or straight water? i was thinking the girls have another week to go in veg but if they keep growing like they have been they will hit my vegging goal before this weeekend. i don't want to start flowering to soon and loose out on possible yeild.

i've been using the GH full line up mixing to their directions. i'm about to go into the transition phase. i can't find anything about light schedule during this phase. should i change to the 12/12 or 1 more week of 18/6?

to top just cut off the internode. you new where the new stem comes out from? think of the letter Y. Better those two legs a internode/node will grow out off cut it/toping it will cause it to stop growing a new internode from there and grow around the Y legs.

One more thing the plant is way to big to top off. Not really any point at that size. But that depends on you whether or not u want to or not. I chop mine at the 6th/7th node it gave me 4 big cola + 4 alright cola = 8 cola. But the is now dead so yeh. FUCK !!! 8 COLAS. What i also believe in is that the more cola the less bud on the cola. like the plant is distributing equal amount of bud on a cola. I reckon having 4 cola is better than 8. Unless those 8 cola are double the amount of 4 cola yield.

it's been 6 weeks already, time flies when you're having fun.

last weeks pic

and a couple from today.

these girls have taken off.

the girls are all standing close to the same height, between 12 and 18 inches. tommorow will be there first day of a 12/12 light schedule. i think there is plenty of plant to flower and fill this closet up.

after plenty of reading i've decided that when i top off the reservoir it will be with straight water with no additives.

Sorry I lag kevin. Yeah... I top off the rez with water. Ok here's what I do. So say I am using a 10 gal rez. I fill it up on a water change with the nute soup. Then when it gets about halfway down I refil with water. Then again when it gets halfway down I fill with water. Then when it gets to half again, I drain and start over. It's not all exact like that... but that's the idea I use. Seems to have worked ok.

And yeah... I agree with going to 12/12. Youhave more than enough plant in there to fill things up.

That snow white is a beast. Can't wait to see what happens when the flowers show up. WOOO HOOOO.

hey jig, no problems on the lag. i know that your plate is full right now, how much longer before you find out if the baby is a boy or girl? i'm sure both of you are excited and proud. thanks for your input about the plants, i was sure i was doing good but it always nice to hear it from someone expirenced as you. the snow white is starting to look like a bondage queen she's tied down in so many differnt places. the 2 papaya are going to be left alone, i want great big papaya buds on top.:peace:

when i checked the water level yesterday it was 5 gallons low. so i topped it off and set ph. 5 gallons in 3 days? i was thinking maybe i didn't get it right saturday. tonight it was 3 gallon low. these girls are sucking up the water. the temps are much better not having to run the lights during the during the day. lights on 80, lights off 67. humidity is hanging between 35 and 60%. i found as long as you keep the air moving you don't need to worry as much about the humidity. tell me if i'm wrong, i've never had this closet packed this tight. :peace:

they drank another 2 1/2 gallons. when i topped off, the ppm fell to 780 it started at 1250 saturday when i changed the resivoir, it had gone up to 1500 when i let it get 5 gallons low. the plants have grown so much you can't even see the floor.

You might want to thin out some undergrowth a bit... just to be safe. Don't want to try to squeeze and extra 5-10% weight on... while running the rist of losing most of it to mildew or mold. Air movement is key... but keeping things a little thin is good too.

i was waiting until i had all the branches trained where i wanted them before i start triming. some of them are tied and i've super cropped others. i have a fan on the floor blowing up and 1 screwed to the wall blowing down, plus the fan from the a/c. i don't want to jinx this, but this is the best grow i ever had and it's all due to finilly getting the water temps 100% under control. so far the record harvest out of the closet has been close to 12 ounces, the way these girls are growing i think i can double that harvest easy. resivoir change and pics tomorrow.
