Bubble Hash - Alpha Tech

I gave the material away after I had drained it but next time imma run it at least twice. I got so excited I forgot to do that lol. I'm sure I could of gotten a little more the 2nd time with still high quality hash. Next time!

I think it should also be noted, just in case some forgot, I used a 45u not 25u, I think With the 25u I'd hit the gram mark.

Put a lid on it, turn it over. And freeze

@GrowinDad you gave me an idea with your ice lid! Imma take a half gallon mason jar, or that type of sealed unit. Fill it a little less than halfway then freeze it. After it's frozen, I'll add the material and more water and flip it upside and freeze it! It'll make it's own ice lid and if it melts, it'll still be on the top part of the jar! Thoughts?

Here's the total weight like I promised.
I honestly can't remember the weight of the trim I used. But it couldn't have been more than 4 ounces. I think it was 3 ounces. Also, it consisted of sugar leaves, fan leaves, stems and little popcorn buds! The material is from the previous harvest about 4-5 months ago and it was dry.
I froze the dried up material for a few days, then mixed it in a bucket with ice and room temp water. I agitated it mildly with my hand before it became a Popsicle and that's when I stopped. Then I strained the water in the 220-190-160-45-25. The bulk of the hash and the best quality was in the 45!
Oh I forgot that most if the material came from g13 lab pineapple express

So you got nearly a 8% yield, that's pretty good I'd say! How was it? Melty?

I have a block freezing at the moment and bags on the way!
but not sure if i should use all 8 bags? it seems you don't need to this way?

Awesome... Thanks dude. I wouldn't know since its my first attempt and I haven't really done much reading on the subject.
Actually I haven't tried it yet and I won't be able to until the weekend. I'll let ya know how it is. I'll just have to figure out how to smoke it in a way different than what I already know which is how people smoke Afghani hash where I live now (shape a piece like a nickel then heat it to be able to crumble it and mix it with tobacco, then roll a J and smoke). I can't do tobacco anymore

I have 8 bags as well but I only really used the 190 and the 45 to collect.

Okay so I took the same type of material and I made oil with it using butane with a 20 minute soak. The weight at the end was 1.2 grams. So only 7% yield on the oil. I got 5% yield with the hash. The oil is full melt obviously the hash is pretty close, to some it's not, to me it's pretty good melt. I think I might continue the water way with this material at least..

I came here to say I'm doing another run tonight using a mason jar. I put the 20g in and added water fully to the top as I put the top on some water trickled out (so completely full of water and perfect) then flipped it upside down. Then I read the tip to do this just now, hell of an idea and easy peasy growindad

So, 20g trim, will freeze over night and thaw in the am. Will update soon

This jar method seems to be the easiest container I've used so far. I already had a jar so figured I'd give it a try with this, took about 20 seconds to fill it up and put it in the freezer It's all under water which is cool.

Warmachine, it's definitely harder to get full melt from old material, but most bubble isn't total full melt anyway, unless it's really fresh, a melty hash from old material is really great to get for sure! So I think you did well from the pics it looks great and probably couldn't have come out any better using water extraction. Bho will always be more melty and than bubble (no matter what people say, I'm not for one method or the other since I like both and each method is completely different anyway)

If I can get 8% out of this batch again (same material) I think I'll be keeping the method around for awhile too

Alpha, water expands when it freezes. A full jar may break. I hope you left some headspace.

Crap! I forgot about that! The ice popped the lid off but it looks like everything is there, just a mountain of ice above the lid lol. Lesson learned

Ahh damnnn that's harsh! I will deff try with less water and see what happens.! The ice mountain isn't a bad thing though as long as no loss!

Definitely less water! lol - I thought it may have been ok with the jar because I freeze 2 litter bottles of water all the time, 1 in 5 crack but for the most part they are fine for a long time, so I figured it might work, but then I just realized plastic can expand and glass doesn't, so there is where the snafu lies lmao. It seems it expanded quite a bit so I think using less water might not work too well since it would need about the same distance beneath the lid as it came out of the lid, so like 2.5", which would be a pretty big gap for the material to be exposed :/ back to the drawing board lol

I would load your container about 1/2-3/4 with material and pre-freeze. Fill a bottle with water and also place into freezer 10-15 minutes prior to making the block. Load a layer of ice cubes or crushed ice on top of the material in the container and then pour the nearly frozen water over the ice until the level rises into the ice cap. Put back into freezer for a few hours. Because everything is already near freezing, the ice on top will not melt and the material will remain submerged.

Dude I just broke a small piece and heated it. It bubbled then melted. It didn't crumble. I had a hard time mixing that sticky oily hash with northern lights. So I breathered the smoke coming out of it when I was melting it. Two hits and I felt them within seconds. I smoked half the J and I feel great. Let me compare the two smokes now

This NL alone:
Clear head and easy to focus on one thing or thought. Relaxed body with tingling throughout mainly the hands feet. Happy.

NL mixed with the hash. Similar as above but very intensified. The tingling is throughout and more around the thighs and groin. Still very focused and right now I'm focused on typing this and still thinking about how tingly and relaxed my face feels. Weird feeling. Its like I've never been stressed in my life before haha. Weird enough, no munchies. Maybe because the hash is mainly pineapple express, I feel also like I want to do something. I want to go out or listen to music or the most obvious that's not stopping to type lmfao I'm out
