Bubble cloner FAIL! Why?

The idea is that the stems are immersed in well oxygenated water.
Aeroponic misters work because the plants already have roots, and they just need a nutrient mist to keep them wet.

that has been one of the hardest things to learn, was taking cuttings way too early to start. I now wait (hard) till I have alternating branches and take them from the bottom of the plant. I still am taking small cuttings, probably need to wait (hard) and get slightly larger stems. Patience seems to be a major factor (really hard)

Hindsight? Kiss my hind end. Its called experience. After you have harvest a couple thousand plants ask me again. Anybody with experience should be able to look at that pic and say "wow, they arent getting water". Post like this are what let other people see how stupid you are. Why didnt you notice that? Oh its temps, oh its humidity, oh it needs a dome, come on.

You might want to take them from the top part of the plant because those are the newest growth and have a better chance of survival.

I said it needed water. How come every post you come in late and make a comment once the issue is solved? then try to provoke arguments by directly singling people out and comment on the ways they helped him. The whole discussion was done in just 3 hours and if it wasn't for me pointing out that the roots needed to be in darkness you couldn't even see that if he did that right as well.

Relax stoner your always trying to argue. If you look at his pictures you cant even tell where the bottom of the stems are. All those other comments about ph, humidity, temperature etc. were based of his initial post. The only reason he had pictures was because i asked for them and was willing to help him. It was a couple posts on here that corrected his major issues and helped us understand his setup better. Also the things I mentioned are all reasons that may lead to a lack of water intake.

Experience counts dudes i didnt need to see the pics or the stems. If they were laying over they werent getting water. Its really simple. As for arguing, i made a helpful post and an asshole wants to call me out on it, well....... enough said.

my stems don't go below the water line, and i have 100% success rate. i use a larger rubbermaid tub, holes cut in the lid, 26 all together. 5 gallons of water, some clonex solution and roots excelurator in the water (larger air pump spits water out of 12 or so jets) hmmm...... my buddy made it and i inherited it as a hand me down. works perfect. I only take from lower branches... or the whole lower itself. I'm hypothesizing the clonex and roots solutions make a difference. I never ph the water. it comes out of the tap at 7.2. so not bad there... maybe my machine isnt the type referenced? i dunk. i'm gonna go smoke...

Chill Folks, Look at it this way...Your ALL smarter than Me! Does anyone have a thread or book for picking suitable clones. Every book I've looked at does not go very deep into it. Currently running out of "Growing Elite Marijuana" it had the best diagrams and descriptions I could find for cloning.

The books will tell you to get the biggest, strongest, most healthy looking...

Up until last week I had a 2yr old mom that wasn't more then 3' hi off the floor. I would get 3-4 good ones and 7-8 Tiny, thin, spindly ones.
Then 2 weeks later do it again.

By the end of the flowering cycle I cannot tell which were the big and strong and which were thin and spindly ones.

Moral of the story, if you are getting roots......you are doing good!

Thanks GrandPapy for the encouraging words. Any tips for keeping a mother? My best looking clone will be put in the veg tent for a mother, if I ever figure cloning out

I'm very limited to the amount of space I have for clones and mothers, so the moms get trimmed weather I can use the cuttings or not.
That coupled with minimal amount of water have been working for me.

lol. i've always just grabbed the lowers i would have discarded once in flower anyway. they will all eventually look like the plant you took from... eventually. Providing everything else stays the same....

oh one more trick.... keep cloning gel on razor when you make your cuts, that way that entire surface will work to make roots.
