So heres my project im calling it the "Dank tank" Its a rubbermaid cabinet bubbleponics grow. The total headroom above the res is 4 feet, so im thinking I have about 3 feet of grow space after I install my lighting. The interrior width is 22 inches. Im planning on growing 3 plants in it.

The empty space bellow the res will house the ltimers and air pump. Air will also be drawn in from behind that space. Im going to drill the shelf the res is on to allow an upflow of air to keep the res cool.

Im not loking for a giant yield as much as a decent supply of medicine w/ some veriety (growing 3 diff strains)

Based on the space I have what grow method do you all think would be best?

A: grow the plants natural and switch to flowering at about 18"

b: Scrog, if so how far above the res should I place my screen?

c: SOG I have to studdy up on the trimming method some more but I think I have the headroom.

Heres some pics to help visualise the space.

FYI Im using 1 250w sual spectrum cfl and 1 105w 6400k cfl for vegging. Swithing out the 6400k for a 2700k for flowering.

PS: wasnt sure if this belonged in the bubbleponics section or the grow room design section, sorry if I was wrong:leaf:

are you legal or not? if not then definitely scrog mate
Thats debatable... My state allows for medicinal use w/ a doctors recommendation, wich I do have.
However growing is still not legal in my state and there are no dispensaries. So my 2 options are illegally buy it off the street or grow my own. You can clearly see the choice Ive made:bigjoint: oh and if your cough buying you still go to jail. Our laws only cover allowing possession.

But anyways Im realy thinking about doing a scrog. Ive watched a few vids and it looks easy enough.

scrog is defo your best option mate i think - you mention growing three different strains, well that's always gonna be difficult in just the one bubble box system because you can't tailor the nutes to fit each type of strain. So neither of the three will reach their max potential - obviously this isn't a massive problem, and you can of course do it and do it well, but it's something to bear in mind if you're looking to get a really dialled in setup. Individual bubble buckets are best for growing different strains.

you also have to consider if you're growing from regular seed. if that's the case then you're not gonna be sure which plants are male or not. i'm not speaking from experience, but every thing i have read about trying to remove male plants from a scrog says it's a total nightmare. if you are growing from regular seed then perhaps you should just grow three plants out normally, top and supercrop them to control height, and then select the best female to clone from and use as a mother.

lastly, as you have a decent amount of headroom, you may consider investing in a 250W hps or even a 400w in a cooltube to flower - the difference in yield you will see will be enormous!

Thanks for the advice. They are fem seeds, and I was told that the strains I picked all grow to about the same height and have ruffly the same flowering period. Im not going for perfection here though. The main reason I went w/ CFL's is heat and my budget. If my state ever allows growing I will turn my big 8' tall 10' wide 50' long attic into a farm lol.
