I don’t have an issue with fish fert, I use crab and shrimp meal but I make it myself. But the labels do verge on cartoonish. I was picturing these, which I know many people use successfully, but do they really need them? I think many run into trouble trying to use all the bottles some guy at the hydro store sold them, and there’s really no need. You mean like these bottles with the cartoons on the front? Lol

No, I agree. I was just joking about the neptune's harvest. It's actually really good stuff. The should drop the cartoons though, just to eliminate any confusion. Winner is Kushy Kush who fools noobs into thinking Kush is different and has special nutrient needs.the snake oil category:
Yup. Using salts for my first time. Was gifted a box of blue (MG 24-8-16).OP,
YES! Bugbee is correct. In addition to that, a LOT of the secret formula weed potions are just regular ferts dissolved in water and then given a snappy label. Keep in mind that there are companies that have been doing research work on fertilizers for decades. Miracle Gro sometimes gets a bad rep, but I just watched a video where one of the Miracle Gro bagged soil mix outdid Fox Farm and every other company, by a mile! But, it shouldn't be that much of a surprise since The Miracle Gro company has been doing it for so much longer than anyone else.
Anyway, yeah Peter's 20-20-20 will work just fine. I like Jack's 3-2-1 system. Master Blend is also a good one.
Haha.. “he’s a PHD and NASA superstar” but I’ll ask a collective of stoner dumbasses if I should listen to his advice or not ..Any 20-10-20 like Peter's is all you need from clone to harvest.
He's the PHD and NASA superstar. Should I follow his advice and keep it simple?
Mega Crop is the answer. Been using it exclusively in hydro for 3 years. Complete, cheap and clean, with good buffering, and dead simple.I use Mega Crop for the entire life of the plant. It is cheap, easy, and dry. I am not sure if it is 20-10-20 but it works.
Yep, all a plant wants or even needs is seventeen essential plant nutrient elements and that is available in base feeds.Growers would be amazed at how little it takes to grow a healthy vibrant plant.

Mega Crop is $48 + $25 shipping. BTW, N-P-K is 9-7-14 for Megacrop.Peter's is $65 for 25 pounds.
Compost tea takes care of my nutrient needs in soil, but megacrop would work as well as any other salt-based nutrient regimen. Certainly could be used to address any deficiency. How does Mega Crop work in soil?
