Browning, yellowing, bottom leaves, moving up *PICS*

I had a similiar problem, although I was growing in soil. For some reason the plants where unable to feed themselves through the roots and where canabalizing the lower leaves for the nutes to survive. This worked its way up, progressing upward through the plant until all the fan leaves finally died.
I checked with the hydro store lady ( who was great, I'll always go back to her for advice) and she told me I had a fungas on the roots that if left unchecked would kill the plants. Her advice: flush with diluted H2O2. I picked up a bottle of 29% hydrogen peroxide and diluted it at a rate of 5 ml. per gallon and used this as a flush.
It worked.
All the affected plants stopped showing any advancement of the disease, and recovered.
Check out the roots color, it should be a nice white and not a tan or brown color. If it shows to be discolored than that could be your problem.

It is very easy to over nute your plants with Fox Farm in DWC. I have learned this first hand and you could bring your pH up alittle to 5.8 to 6.3 the plants may love you for it and cut back on the Fox Farm (Grow Big) I use 3/4 of recommended rate of feeding and have stopped burning my plants.

do you have a EC / PPM tester, i would really like to know your EC and PPM ranges during ur growth since u also use Fox farm... Under Plant moisture stress i also have this question going for more help and i have had a user agree that i am not giving enuf nutes since i am only at 450 PPM (and small plants should have 400-800 PPM) my plant is about 1.5-2ft. I just do not believe this is a nute burn for the reason i am already on 50% strength..

the more i read tho , the more it seems im gonna have to put this plant thru hell before i can figure out what it is..

so im thinking i will do another flush and run them on plain water for a day or two and let them clean out then slowly start adding little nutes at a time untill i get my PPM around 600-800 and see what problems change or get worse??

because it seems every single plant is different and even the ones that are the same the grower can do one single variable and every rule that applies to other people could change... so .. might just use this plant is a experiment and stress it out to find out my problems, because since i have been trying to figure this out.. i have had people tell me both overfertilized and underfertilized, that the humidity is to low (even tho its in flowering) thats its a nitrogen def, mag def, cal def, and so on a so forth..

so with that being said i have a lot of people that answer that have no idea whats going on with my plants even though i gave all the info needed. im kinda banging my head on the wall that every day i go in there a leaf that 10% damaged is about 40% after 24hrs.. and after 2-3 days its completely brown and curled

hitting a wall here:wall:

i have a humidifier that i keep off during flowering because ive always read that the lower the humidity the better during flowering, that some even get down to single digits. and during veg 50-60... so is this not true?
Too low. I have my veg at least RH 60% - 75% ( clones 85-95%). Once on 12:12 I reduce to 50-70% for the first few weeks and then I go down to 40-60% on the final flower. I think they are dissipating too much and going thru the water/nutes too quickly. Try to get it within a range of 50-55% daytime at least.

that is not an issue at all. i can get it to 60% in like 10 mins if i turn my humidifier on high and turn my fan off for just a moment

let me know what u think is going on ..

Setup.
Closet 2x3.5
One T5 90watt grow light
One T5 light from lowes this one has more of a yellow tone compared to the grow light which is white blue
Coco Coir mixed with cut peices of rockwool and hydroton at bottom inch to stop coir and ensure drainage
Red cups until i transfer them to either bigger buckets or switch them to dwc buckets (depending on what people think i should do, im always willing to learn)
Feed once and water twice, i wait till top soil is dry and cup is light , coco coir has good water rentention.
Im not sure if feeding is to early but i am only feeding them 250 ppm, just basic grow big fox farms ( i start with a 25ppm tap water that is sitting in clean DWC resivour)

Pictures:
1. & 2. Are the same plant, Pic 1 being a close up of what looks like a pH issue, but runoff is 6.5-6.8. This is auora indica
3. I think this one is Ice, seems healthy for the most part , not sure if i should be looking for darker green or not..
4. Seems to have mutated leaves.. not sure what is causing this..
5. Purple Power, looking healthy , one concern is the yellowing tips and grey necrosis?

Thanks in advancebongsmilie
let me know what you guys think

definitely do this but give it more than a day or two. plants are not animals, they take more time to adjust. if you change something expect it to take a week for it to adjust on average depending on the size. its definitely not N def. humidity keep avg of 50% and you'll be good no matter what. more may help, less wont hurt but at this point it makes more sense to rule it out and not try to push it one way or the other. move up to a ppm around 200-300 and chill there for a few weeks after you let plain water run through it for a couple weeks. someone mentioned it looked to likely be Phos related and I agree but as to what was causing a problem with phos is hard to determine from this range. check root health and try to maintain a 6.0 to 6.5 ph in the water. get a spray bottle and use that with some clean water to spray the plant daily when lights are off if there seems to be root trouble. cut off any bad looking roots - should be light in color, not brown or black. wouldn't hurt to dip the whole root mass in a weak solution of soapy water and then rinse them off thoroughly making sure to be extra careful and gentle. if you cut off roots, expect plant shock. it will stop growing up if it is all of a sudden cut from the bottom, but in a week or so it will regain health if the problem was removed. may want to cut off some of the sicker leaves as well so it doesnt have to try to maintain them.

Did u figure out what is causing your issue as i have the same problem. This is my second grow and i had this issue with my first grow as well. I thought it might be the white widow strain or something. But now im thinking its the foxfarm nutes causing this. Also i get this problem on both grows around 2nd or 3rd week of flower. I have a 3rd grow i just put into flower so im keeping my eye on it. Want to try the 3% peroxide but not sure if this will even help. I already use sos along with entire ff hydro line and botanicare sweets.

Oh by the way like the other guy said this problem wont effect your grow. I was able to finish my first wwidow grow. Got some killer smoke and pulled 6 ounces off 2 plants under T5 lights. Im onto 2 600 hps right now for this grow.

I have one strain that gets nothing more than 150 ppm at the highest, and she sometimes still burns...I used to ask for help, people would say overfert, but I would say my ppms are this, and they would say it isn't overfert then...but it was...lol. I moved to soil and it turns out this girl likes no nutes, and as little water as possible to survive...so some plants are just weird...lol. Just something to think about...it might not even be your issue...I saw some spray in my shed the other day that claims to fix a fungus called "rust" that looks just like that...but I think this "rust" is powdery...it looks powdery in the picture on the bottle anyway...so another thing to think about...

Thanks guys I also have been gettin help with this from uncle Ben in plant moisture .. I have brought the plant up to 800 ppm, and still having same problem I think it is fox farms issue. Idk every plant and person growing it is different so I'll try and keep u guys updated.. Gonna give it another week before I change nutes again to try something else
