Brown spots on stems.

Hey guys got two mothers. One nirvana bubblelicious and one northern light nirvana. Both were flood and drain but switched to dwc. Running floro shop lights 24/7, using dyna gro pro foliage at 800 ppm. Ph is 6.5. Had a fungus gnat issue but cleared it up. Noticed today some brownish spots on the stems. Not crusty, looks to be right under the skin of the stem. Growth seems normal, just wondering what it is. Water is hard. Temps are 70 humidty 60. Spots are on both plants. Any help appreciated!

6.5 is kinda high for hydroponics. You are going to lock some nutrients out. Phosphorus is kinda a biggie... Its a macronutrient and not availiable in hydro over 6.2

Keep your pH in the 5.8-6.2 range

Thanks for the tip. Will lower it tonite. Any idea what the spots might be? Never seen it before and can't find anything on the net about it

I've never that either. As long as the plants are healthy I wouldn't worry to much about it, just keep an eye on it.
