Hi, I'm new to this forum.
On the whole my plants still look good.
But I'm starting to get brown spots and the underside of my leaves are turning purple.
The brown spots are only on the older leaves of the older plant.
The purple is faint except for the one in the picture.

I am growing in a closet with attic access and no source of heat other than the light and my lows outside at night are 65. So the purple could be from low Temps at night from the attic. Can I get a definitive answer? Thanks.

As far as the brown spots go, I'm not sure. My best guess is a calcium deficiency but typically that's newer growth and you get yellowing too, which I have none of.

My leaf stems look a little pink from a corrected nitrogen deficiency but the new ones are green.

I have a 1200watt LED 12" from plants
I use a deep water res with airstones.
My ph is between 5.85 and 5.9
My PPM is around 850

Per gallon
Blue Planet Farmer's Pride
10mls of all 3 mixes
Blue Planet Liquid Seaweed
5mls
True Plant Science CalMag OAC
2mls

This is my first grow in 2 years so I'm a little rusty. Normally, I'm good enough to avoid plant sickness, but I'm having a little trouble. If someone could help me that would be awesome. Thanks.

You’re cooking those little plants with 850ppm. Lower it to 250-300
Also drop the organic seaweed in hydro and you probably don’t need the cal/mag if you’re using tap water.
Also your light is only 120watts and a bit close I would back the light off and lower the ppm a lot and drop the other stuff. It looks like your roots are starting to get nasty.
Do the roots smell bad? If so you probably have start of root rot using organics in hydro.

Also you need to block all light from reaching the water so cover those extra hose and black tape your clear water lines. You will get algae with light reaching the water. Not 100% on your setup so maybe light isn’t reaching the water but if it is make it dark in the res is your best bet

Hey, treesome. Thanks. I cut the res water down to 300ppm and raised the light 6" and all the new growth greened up in only 5 hours. Fingers crossed it has solved the core issue. Thanks man.

Also I shoved black plastic in the edges of my net pots. Thanks again.
Your welcome. Hope it works out for ya. Keep in mind that anything organic will cause you issues in hydro. So keep a close eye on your roots and if they become slimy or smelly you will want to act fast and use a sterilizing agent like chlorine (Bleach or Pool Shock).
