Brown roots in nft.. any ideas on how to stop this happening???

Hi Everyone.

i am growing my plants in an N.F.T system and each time i do i am getting brown roots and it seems to stop the plants growing any taller.

Can anyone help and explain what this brown could be and how i can prevent it from happening.

make sure light is not hiiting the resovoir or the roots of the plants.. and keep ur resovoir clean change the water at least once a week.

Thanks guys for your answers so far. i usally put an air stone in the tank and i usally use a very weak feed for the first cpl of weeks and have always changed the solution over regulary so just wondered if anyone has any other ideas on how to prevent it.

Please please keep your answers coming as i really want to stop this problem to finally get a perfect crop!!!
