i just had the same problem. its due to the heat and its cald pythia. if u r adding sugars or any carboload, stop . get some hygrosime do a compleat flush add 10mls higrozime per gallon of water and give it a few days. the microbs will feed on the muck and digest the dead roots , thay will be wight in no time. u might check ur rez temps.

Add a 0.65ml of H202 per litre of liquid in the reservoir. You've most likely got root rot. Lower your res temps to around 60 degrees - get a thermometer and make sure it's always around that point.

You need 35% H2o2

You also need to go to walmart and go the baby aisle.
Get the baby medicine spoon and eye dropper graduated in ML
The baby medicine spoon holds ten ML and is usually graduated in 1 Ml increments.
They eyedropper is 2ml and is graduated in 1/4 ml increments.
These tools will allow you to precisely control your solution.

Three things affect the amount of DO in your solution.
• Temperature
• Salinity
• Altitude above sea level

To increase DO you can:
lower the temp,
reduce your nute loads,
and move to the coast.

I am sure you will see improvement in your grow,
if you lower the nute loads (try 800ppm)
which will increase D O.

no h202....kills helpful bacteria
h2o2 kills everything in your rez. and then all of the dead roots that were rotting are just going to sit there and start to rotte again . u need helpful bacteria to digest dead or rotted roots kinda like a micro maintenance system.
i also have a DWC system and have had the same problems, always about the middle of summer when the temps are hottest. my savyor was higrozime. HZ has the microbus needed to maintain your root system. i also tryed using h2o2 when i had the problem , needles to say i had to pull her , the stems were yellow and soft. she was a goner. i dont grow with out hygrozime!

I find that 70º is the point where pythium can start to form

68º gives me a small margin
and that is why I run 66º

cooler is always better. but if u cant afford a chiller, then u need to be able to work with it. my rez temp are always in the 70ish range. i found that when it gets warm u need to stop with the suger's , that feeds pythium . also when it is warm u need to up your air flow, more air stones. get that water moving , i just added a 70 liter per min pump to my system , when i turned it on i looked like the water was boiling and i still add 4 more air stones .hygrozime is the ticket if u are not using any microbes in your feed get some hygrozime. do it for your plants. they will thank you by being big and healthy.
