brown matter accumulating at bottom of res?

as the title says ....... i just planted my rooted clones into the flood table system . growing in 6in pots using hydroton. there s brown like matter settling at the bottom and when i stir it disapeers. im just using nutes and R/O water . no h2o2 or anything . could this brown stufff be pathogens or something

The brown matter is hydroton dust. I get it in my DWC. Even after washing the crap out of it it still drops a little dust in the reservoir the first couple of times, then it'll go away.

Yea Hydroton, I get it in my tanks too. Pathogens are going to be more like a slime, I think,. H2O2 works well in keeping my tank clean and slime free.

Awww crap, i was gunna have some fun and tell him it was plant poop, LOLOL!

it could also be from the nutrients that you are useing .... i use foxfarm and with big bloom it has sediment in it from bat poo and various other stuff
