Brown gunk in DWC moved everything to COCO

So last night for some strange reason I decided I wanted to look at my roots and ya thick brown slime all over them. So I had everything I needed to put them in COCO since I was planing on moving to COCO anyways. I washed most of but not all of the brown gunk algae off was still some on the roots. put a little COCO in my pot and swirled the roots in a circle then put the rockwool in and covered with COCO and watered to remove the air.

If I didn't shock my plants to death should I add some kind of microbes or something to the nutrients i'm using to water my plants that will kill the remaining brown gunk? Would be great if moving it to COCO solved the problem for me but that seems to easy.

Itching to get off work and see how they are doing looked fine this morning but ya lots can change in 12 hours.

Did't smell and roots looked health after being cleaned wasn't any clear goo or anything like that was just like a massive red/brown algae bloom. Had the white top of the res taped and the algae was even starting to pop threw the tape. Sadly was in panic mode cleaned the roots and put them in COCO immediately so don't have any pics. :/ Water was redish orange same with the stuff on the roots no black. Pic below was from last night right before lights out. Disregard the mangled leaves on the top got a little to greedy wile topping. IMG_3955.JPG

Hydroguard for sure or cannazym, hygrozym, sensizym etc.

Red fungus/mold is the sheet I see in bathrooms on unclean surfaces.

Give them a good dose of H2O2 to help kill off that Pythium.
