Brown algae or root rot not sure

Not sure what this is if anything running RDWC roots are slightly brown no slime or smell running current culture line ph is 6.2 water temp is 68 ph doesn’t fluctuate water temps are always 68 they started off white the leafs look fine I’ve run rDWC for 6 years my roots have always looked like this rarely has anything died I’ve always had good yields but I always see people with super white roots just wondering if I have something and have just kept under control enough not to have a catastrophe C37B7560-CB69-4059-86E6-AE6CA0CC3044.jpeg

They actually look fine to me.

Unless they are slimey and or fall apart when you touch them they are ok. Possibly stained from nutes

What rocks are you using to hold the plant? They look massive
Grow stones not my usual rocks either I use rocks from sun leaves usually store was out I’m about to start using panda paper over the net pots and paint the lids white with a thick paint just in case light is getting in

I’ve used grow stones before but yours look near the size of a small fist or maybe I’m wrongly assuming that’s like a 8 inch net pot?
