Broken stalk

I was just trying to get the tops under the trellis alittle bit more and I felt the pop. I found the split and it is 1 of 2 main stalks right at the Y. I quickly grabbed the electrical tape and twist ties and hopefully got it repaired. Today was going to be the day I switched to 12/12 but decided to veg for 7 to 10 more days. Any other ideas I should do???

I ditched the electrical tape and went with the zip ties. I didn't want the sticky side of the tape to interfere with the healing process. Should I paint something over the wound???

No need for multi threads …. That should work for a bit till stalk heals but I would probably not make that a permanent point - this way stalk can grow without restriction.

I didn’t do a thing to this one and she never drooped a leaf,she’ll be coming down in a few weeks. they’re tough
