Broken roots! HELP!

Hello friends, just 2 weeks ago i bought 2 seeds to start my first experience with marijuana plants. Four days ago when i tried to transfer my plants from the seedling pot to the main pots one of my little plants just broke above the roots. Today i seen that the first leaves just turn into a brown-yellow-ish color and the roots are not growing. I start to research and i read that i should cut the yellow leaves and put plastic foil around that place to allow the plant to boost nutrients to the new leaves. I also put the plant into water to start the growing of the roots. I am not really sure that what i read is corect and i really need your help. Thank you and sorry if i made grammatical mistakes but i am not a native. I mare some photos and i attached them.

The thin part of the bottom of the stem shows that it "dampened off". That's a situation where there's way too much moisture in the medium that rots the stem.

You'll need to start over. It's dead.

Also, that plant was way too tiny to transplant.

What medium did you have the seedling in originally? What were you transplanting to?

I broke a seedling once and wrapped the broken stem in rock wool and stuck it in a window sill. It started growing again! It is a weed.

The seedling was in regular soil. When i tried to transplant into a bigger pot i made a mistake and the stem just broke. I left it in the soil for 2 days thinking that the roots will regenerate but that didn t happen. Today, i put it into water having a last attempt to save the plant and i cut the yellow leafs to let the plant concentrate on the root growing. I also put plastic alimentary foil around the place where i cut the leaves.

Mine grew back so I say that you have a chance. Just use soft lighting.
Thank you for your advice. I thought on the same principle when i put it into just water. Now i will try to find something similar to the rock wool în my house. Do you suggest to put it in a full dark place or still use a little bit of light? I know my questions are stupid but i am really nervous about this situation. Thank you again for your support!

You are welcome. Mine was a rare seed from Africa so I was very sad when I broke it. It was a miracle that it survived.
I put mine in a south facing window sill. A week later it had new growth.
There is a great group here. Just keep posting any questions.
Good luck,
Mo
