Broken Female Downstem Repair?

kiss-assI know this is the wrong section, im sorry im desperate. My beautiful bong's down glass on glass stem slot (the part where you insert a downstem on the female) just chipped a medium sized piece off from around the edge. It is just one large crack that caused it to chip, rather than many small ones. This leads me to believe it can be blown by any glass/head shops? If so how much do you think it costs? Itd be a shame to waste this whole beauty ( 2 foot double percolator) because of one tiny chip.

P.S i can take pics if you want

i cant until tomorrow :/
got any idea? its the tip of the glass slot where you put the stem and bowl into.
its like a U shaped chip from the tip, looks like it can be welded/blown

If looks arent an issue i would use some really strong durable tape... When you tried the glue did you allow it to set...... go to Lowes/Home Depot and try to find some glass glue...

It's not an easy repair - just re-connecting that on the torch will give results that aren't any nicer looking than super glue would give. I think someone would need to pull that whole piece off and put a new one on. I've never tried anything like that, so don't know how difficult it would be or how much it would cost - and, I don't even have a kiln big enough for a job like that. Personally, I'd say break out the super glue.
